A draw apiece for both sides last weekend, with Fleetwood being held at home to Southend and Latics picking up a well deserved draw away at Walsall.

Not too arsed about how we get on against Middlesbrough tonight as I'm expecting another pasting from them like this time last year, so I'd be happy to see both Forte & Dunn get just the 30-45 minutes under their belt in time for Saturday. Dunn was superb when he came on at Walsall for his 25 minute cameo, and Forte did what he does best and finished clinically from his only chance - a smart finish at that. Looking forward to seeing Cassidy lead the line again - our clear MOTM at the weekend, but not sure who'll drop out.

Joel Coleman
Brian Wilson - James Wilson - Jonathan Burn - Joseph Mills
Liam Kelly
Carl Winchester - Mike Jones
David Dunn
Jake Cassidy - Jonathan Forte
That's the team I'd like to see on Saturday. A really strong, technical midfield and a strikeforce where Forte can either look for Cassidy's knockdowns or run onto Dunn's throughballs.

We picked up 6pts from our games vs Fleetwood last season so I'd like to continue that trend here. We have a better squad this time around, though Fleetwood have made some shrewd signings themselves - Jimmy Ryan being the obvious one.

Prediction: Latics 2-1 Fleetwood

Forte & Jones to bag.

Was looking forward to sitting in the new stand for this game, but in true Latics fashion, that wont be happening. Fancvy Fleetwood to finish top 10 again this year so it could be a tricky game. 1-1, Forte for Tics.

Not enough electricity in Oldham to use in that stand.

The energy board, whatever they are called have delayed us being hooked to the grid. Until that happens they cant open it. The concourses and terraces are complete and should have been open for tonight as a tested ramp up event.

I'm going. Think we'll grind out a 1-1 draw

How many fleetwood coming over? Not too many made the trip last year but they were noisy.

Looks a poor following tbh.

We're 1-0 up at HT but only because Fleetwood are complete toss up front. They should be 3 up.

What a shit game.

Fleetwood should have been 4 up in five minutes but i thought we settled into the game after 15 or 20 minutes. Never really thought we would conceed after going 1 up except the mare brown had at the end.

We were nowhere near as good as we should be with this team but its early season ill take it.

Wow, Rhys got up well to set up that goal. We released him cos he was too small (he was like 5ft6 at 16), he's like 6ft2 now!

I've been quietly impressed with Rhys Turner. And yeah, he's deceptively tall. Doesn't half win his fair share of headers.

With Cassidy out for a few weeks now, he'll need to take this chance.
