Big game for both sides coming up, but for different reasons.

We're fighting to survive and cannot afford to lose, whilst Gillingham are chasing a surprise promotion and want to stay in the automatics.

Last 5 games

Blackpool 0-0 Oldham
Wigan 0-0 Oldham
Shrewsbury 0-1 Oldham
Oldham 0-1 Bury
Bradford 1-0 Oldham

Gillingham 2-1 Barnsley
Gillingham 0-0 Swindon
Blackpool 1-0 Gillingham
Gillingham 2-1 Peterborough
Doncaster 2-2 Gillingham

Joel Coleman

James Wilson - Timothee Dieng - Anthony Gerrard - Danny Lafferty

Cameron Dummigan - Liam Kelly - Matty Palmer - Jonathan Forte

Aaron Holloway - Rhys Murphy
Our goalscoring may be non existent at the moment, but we've created chances - the composure has just been lacking. No doubt our general play has improved significantly since Shez took over and I feel we should have won a few of the games we've drawn - such as Blackpool & Wigan, and our defense is looking better with 3 consecutive clean sheets, all away from home too.

I'm going to go for an optimistic and vital 1-0 victory. Murphy to finally bag.

Would much rather have been playing this when Dunn was still in charge!
Oldham seem to be very tight defensively and this will be a tough game.
Sheriden will have them fired up and if we make the mistake of looking at their league position and thinking we just have to turn up then we will lose.
Having said that Edinburgh will never allow that to happen.
I am quietly optimistic and reckon we could just nick it, though a point wouldn't be a disaster.

Was it Dunn or Kelly in charge when we drew 3-3 at your place? Can't remember which inept prick was in charge then.

We really should win this.

But we've been pretty bad against the inept sides of the division, so it's hard to say.

Speaking of the 3-3, I was really impressed by Oldhams front two that day (Higdon and Poleon), so I can't really work out the poor goalscoring side of their season.

Poleon is one of the worst professional footballers on this planet. He's a sprinter with football boots on.

Oh for a dislike button Terraceman :box:
Ah well, I am sure you would feel the same if you had a player playing on loan playing against us ! Purely football reasons of course. Had some good conversations with Gills fans in the past, particularly on the last day of the se

I was merely jesting with you Terraceman, I sincerely hope we both go up together (with Walsall). Imagine all 3 of us playing Villa next season

As well as Jackson, John Egan is also out of the game today....

Guess that means Morris at RB and Loft CB? Unless Chicksen can play CB alongside Ehmer? Holding off on the Deji deal looking like not such a good idea now!

Any defensive injuries now and we're screwed. Have we got any kids who could realistically provide first team cover?

Mitchell Dickenson on the bench today!

Team is:
Nelson, A. Morris, Ehmer, Garmston, Chicksen, Loft, Osadebe, Wright, Dack, Donnelly, Samuel.

So I would guess the back 4 is eitherL
Morris / Ehmer / Chicksen / Garmston

or

Chicksen / Morris / Ehmer / Garmston

We appear to be winning. I have no idea how we're playing though, as I've been playing Fifa.

2-1 down now, seems about right. Our record against the shit sides in this league is tragic.

Makeshift back 4, no-ones really sure what our best midfield is - it's a shock we're second if I'm honest

Superb showing second half. The voodoo over gills continues. We look far more solid these days under shez if a little blunt but that's 8 from 4 now. Keep it up and we will be fine.

As for gills a well organised unit who do the physical side well and fairly. One of the better sides I've seen this year tbh. That comment goes to show our steady improvement
