Looking at the form of the two sides, you'd have to fancy Rochdale here.

I know we battered them earlier in the season, but things have drastically changed from our point of view so it's not going to be a repeat of that, unfortunately.

A win would pretty much mean we's retain the WABLO trophy for the 4,278th consecutive season.

A draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world, and I'd assume Dale would be happy with that too.

A loss keep us looking down the table.

Latics 2-2 Rochdale

If I was an Oldham fan I'd honestly want to be relegated.

I felt happy after our first relegation from the championship... and that was only five years!

Yeah you wish.. 2,700 at Spotland yesterday for a play-off chasing L1 team..

3,970 at Gigg Lane for a L2 fixture...

But of course you have more income than us...

Clearly designed said emoticon for yourself. Willy waving over attendances still? We don't have more money than you but we have a better football team without spending a penny. Could say the same about your lot... Oh wait...

Hahaha how hypocritical! You are the biggest sour grapes poster on this board. I've seen your pathetic rants after each loss.
You post more in our threads than on your own clearly love the Dale. I would stay to chat but you're only 19 with the mental age of a 3 year old, surely it's past your bedtime?

Well that's a lie isn't it
Hardly, you pop up willy waving over attendances in every Dale thread. We both struggle to an extent with crowds because of our geographical locations, which is to be expected. Of course I would love us to have better crowds but it will never really happen. I'm more interested in what happens on the pitch, and like I said not a penny spent and still better than your 'massive L2 club'.

Goodnight, enjoy your wet dreams over all those fans who flood through the gates of stade le giggle.

I can sleep well in the knowledge that my club isn't an embarrassment that is supported by the highest number of unemployed people in the league.

If Oldham play like they did against us Dale will absolutely smash them. The difference in the two sides that I've seen is absolutely alarming.

As for the Bury fan, 1800 at home vs Hartlepool when you were last in League One, can hardly go round dickwaving when you lot, Latics and Dale are all in the same boat competing with those two shite brands in Scumchester. Besides, I remember you lot going for playoffs in League Two when we had our worst ever season under Dario in 09-10 and you could only muster 1800 home fans anyway!

Can't really disagree with you there.

The November Oldham would win tomorrow. Unfortunately, the March Oldham is shite, as was the December Oldham, January Oldham & February Oldham.

But one's a play-off chasing L1 team, the other isn't. I know which one I'd prefer.

As for the game, 2-2.

how many we expecting over from dale, if twatter is to believe then not many more than 1000. No offence but that's pretty poor for a play-off chasing team 6 miles down the road.

Can't see past a Rochdale victory myself. ( sorry 'dale fans - hope I've not jinxed it !)
As for the away support ( or lack of ) - some of the stories I heard about the Oldham followers at Spotland earlier in the season are hardly going to encourage people to visit B.P. with any confidence.
Rochdale fans that usually attend with youngsters are likely to give it a miss for a start, and any elderly supporters will probably give it a swerve too, can you blame them?

Haha fuck me who have you been talking to? We scored a goal and a few of our fans in the home end jumped up and it kicked off for about a minute. Believe it or not it was the Rochdale fans who attacked celebrating Oldham supporters so aren't they to blame equally??? Ive been at plenty of games where supporters of the opposition clubs have sat in the home end and cheered, did I decide to go over and lump them? no, I reported it to the stewards and let them do their job.

Rochdale knew well in advance and that the away allocation had been sold and there were plenty of latics fans on twitter saying they were going to sit in the home end as it was pay on the gate and not all ticket. Admitidly they shouldn't have sat in the home ends but Rochdale themselves did nothing to prevent them. I feel they favoured the bit of extra dosh over crowd safety and in the end it was the wrong decision.

Nothing but sour grapes and similar to the situation at your ground when you made the away end pay on the day and we inevitably filled it and some sat in your end. Apparantly it was our fault that you made it pay on the gate.

Do we really have to bring this fan bullshit argument up again?

Back to the game, there's no chance we'll win this. Comfortable nights work for Dale I'm sensing.

All 3 keepers injured
Brian Wilson, first choice RB, is injured.
James Wilson, first choice CB, is injured.
Joseph Mills, first choice LB, is injured
Liam Kelly, DM, first name on the teamsheet, is injured.
Wilkinson, first choice striker, is with Ireland.

Poleon also injured.

We're fucked.

Last time I watched us at Oldham, when we won 2-1, my mates and I were having a quiet celebratory pint in the Junction Inn before returning back to Rochdale. About 10 police officers came in and told us to leave asap because there were some 'angry' Oldham fans heading towards the pub and that they couldn't guarantee our safety. So yes, fans fear for their own safety and the police were concerned enough too.

Tbh, the ones that tend to look for trouble on our side are little chavs who brick themselves whenever anyone stands up to them. Believe me, I've seen our own fans tell em to wind it in many a time, and they just fuck off with their tails between their legs.

1. No injuries
2. No players sending off
3. Only numpties who "are up for it" on either side injured. None of these types seriously injured.

My mantra for derby games versus bury for the last few years, same goes for tonight.

Had Scott Hogan not got injured at Gigg Lane last season and Ian Henderson not been sent off, the result and subsequent results in the league may well have been better and Chesterfield may not have won the league. Or then again, maybe not, ifs and ands...

Derbies, more trouble than they are worth when your season has something about it. When it doesn't they are the best thing going.

Latics 1 up, thanks to Rhys Turner who capitalised on a mistake from Dale's keeper.

Jones has also crashed the bar from 30yrds.

Dale look very dangerous on the break though.

Extremely bad luck for Dale here.

They've had to make 3 subs already thanks to injuries to Vicenti, Allen & Dawson.

Think that means they've got 7 defensive players on the pitch now.

Nailed on 2-1 Rochdale win now...
