Another huge 6 pointer at the bottom of the table. Oldham got a good point away at Burton and have been on a good run since Sheridan took over. This is huge for them, got to be looking for a win here, especially considering Blackpool are away at Donny.

As for Chesterfield, a win would get them a nice cushion over those in the drop zone but lose here and they could be dragged right back into the mix.

Can see this being a tight and edgy 0-0.

All match discussion in here.

with the blackpool donny game we have to look at taking advantage. Certainly wouldn't take a point before the game.
We can win this, and if we keep it tight like we did yesterday we are always capable of nicking 1 at home.

Tempting to go for the same personnel as yesterday but Gerrard and palmer are big names to leave out, and the tactics should be more attacking at home. Gerrard for Wilson, palmer for winchester and push main up. Although that would leave dieng in midfield and not sure Sheridan will stick with that. Tough one to call this. Possibly move Harris up and slot dieng back in at the back?

Fuck knows glad it's Sheridan call not mine. Nice problem to have

Coleman
Dummigan dieng Gerrard wilson
Jones palmer kelly harris

I said before this weekend 2 points might be better than 3. It'd be boring but I'd take the 2 and crawl to safety.

Of course it can if it means neither you or Fleetwood gain on us.

I hope it's an away win too but from what I saw of the game Oldham's support was good both in number & vocally. In the same situation you'd have taken fewer.

Where does this guy get off? Willy waving about attendances... Burton are above you with about 3-4000 home fans and with probably less than half your resources. How does that one make you feel?

Going for 1-0 Oldham in this.

We had a better away average last season than you had in the Championship. Why? Probably because you were toss and ultimately relegated.

If you were in the L1 relegation places then your numbers will a lot lower than they current are. Fortunately for you - you're not toss this season.

Now stop with the shit wummery and stop acting like a waste of oxygen.

This game sounds as exciting as Saturday. That's our team at the moment. I'll take it till May. I'm saying this as a non-season ticket holder though.

With Blackpool winning at Donny, I've gone from being fairly certain we'll stay up to being legit worried about finishing 21st in the space of 2 games. It's between us, Blackpool, Fleetwood and Oldham... who all seem more capable than us at getting points at the moment

you'll stay up. Blackpool are dreadful and Doncaster can't buy a point.

I'm not so sure at all Jockney. We've not mustered a single shot on target in the last 2 games, both against fellow relegation battlers and looked totally and utterly inept in the process. Our midfield without Morsy is non-existent. I can't see where the next goal is coming from, nevermind the next point. And we need to find another 7~.

Bloody Hell, just compared that Chesterfield line up to the one we beat in the play-offs. Unrecognisable.

Definite contenders for the drop it seems.

Chesterfield did look poor today. But then again so did we. Tommy lee did his usual trick of keeping goals out that really should be in against any other keeper.

We seemed sluggish going forward with no real momentum. The win was vital, especially with losing holloway to what looks like a serious injury.

More important today was the blackpool result. Could have done with a draw there but with them winning a win was imperative and how we got it doesn't matter at this stage. Onwards and upwards

Did he? He tipped one over, that was about it wasn't it? Oldham looked to me, as they did on telly the other day, like a decent side without a forward line. We were woeful.

Tipped one over the bar, and stopped that one in the first half as well. Granted he didn't have as much to do as in the past, but that was down to our ineptness up top.
