I don't think Smith would have had as much of an impact alongside Agard, or possibly even Wilbs.

Against Swindon on Tuesday is when JET could be at his best, on TV, a big game and he is a big game player.

AFAIK he hasn't been offered or signed a new deal. I don't agree with your 2nd sentence though as he was first choice for a couple of months around Xmas and didn't let anyone down. I would hazard a guess that all contract talks are on hold until we know what league we are in.

Cotterill just doesn't fancy JET as a starter. It's been clear since the start of this season. I'm not sure if it's an attitude thing, he always represents the club well in the media and Cotterill has praised his attitude a few times in the past, but it's certainly not down to his ability that he's not starting.

I don't think he'll be here next season, I wouldn't blame him if he turned down a contract either. I'll be gutted if/when it happens, mind. You pay your money to watch players like him and I really don't buy the lazy argument either.

It was the same last season as well, JET made Baldock look good, and their linkup play and the space JET created for Baldock was fantastic.

I've been saying it for months, JET must start ahead of Agard in this crucial time in the season.

At one point yesterday, he tracked back all of 60 yards and was the last man (even behind Flinty). He calmly made a tackle and passed the ball on.
At times, I would have accused him of being a bit of a diva but certainly not now, he puts a lot of work in for the team in areas the critics say he doesn't go in to as shown yesterday.

Also worth noting that he hasn't one moaned about not starting regularly. He's always put the interests of the team ahead of himself.

Hey, I will hold my hands up and admit he didn't do enough for me and I was critical of the fella but he's proved me wrong.
Good on the bloke and I'm old enough and ugly enough to admit I was wrong about him.
I can't see him being at City next season though, more's the pity.

Agard crap v Gillingham, gets dropped for Crewe. JET runs the show and scores a fantastic goal which Cotterill bizarrely credits to Agard running around a bit.

Agard back in for Wembley, does nothing. Keeps his place v Barnsley where he woeful. Miscontrolled almost everything! JET comes on, we score. Agard again anonymous v Oldham, JET comes on, we score.

JET takes all the above without a moan, putting stupid rumours about a bad attitude to bed. He must stay.

Agreed, I never understood the critics and have found myself gritting my teeth at games when someone near me abuses him for no valid reason. However, I would also say that a lot of the support appreciate him for the player he is (most on here, for example), it's just as always the vocal one's stand out.
