I would just like to say that I believe, and always have done, that the Europa League is a great and illustrious competition which lets the European elite teams show their worth in a heavily contested and competitive tournament.

Yep, looked forward to the Europa League for a number of years. I enjoy watching football on Thursday nights. I actually don't even like the Champions League.

I won't be too miffed either way. We don't have a chance at winning the CL, but England (and thus Arsenal) could do with the coefficient points and a longer run with Thursday matches won't help our depleted squad. The league should remain the priority regardless of what happens here.

I've talked to some people about this game, and have said I don't believe Arsenal will win here. Olympiakos have an excellent home record against the top sides in the UCL in the last few years, I think in the last 3 they've only lost to PSG and Bayern, while beating Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United.

Even if Arsenal win, they have to win by 2 or win by 1 after the scoreline reaches 3-2. Europa is a very winnable competition for them.

how it helps the coefficient?

a draw in Olympiakos 1/8 point for the nations ranking and Europa League.
a win in Olympiakos ( 2/8 points for the win + 4/8 points bonus for qualifying for the ko stage for the whole nation of England)

that would be 5 points less ( two wins and a draw) that Arsenal needs to win in the Europa League and the february can be tough in Russia

Sorry if it wasn't clear - I think we're on the same page. Winning in Greece is important for the coefficient.

Do neutrals want Arsenal to progress or not?

As a Liverpool fan I'm overjoyed about yesterday's results, but here I'd actually like Arsenal to qualify, for those coefficient points. Probably Chelsea, too, but if I had to choose one, it'd be Arsenal. Have a lot of respect for Wenger, the best manager in the PL for me.

I'd like to see Arsenal go through, yeah.

They are one of the more likable Premier League teams that are in contention for the Champion's League places each season. I enjoy seeing Chelsea falter and with City I'm just apathetic really.

It can be tough to play there but I reckon Arsenal will get the job done like they usually do.

I don't see us qualifying tonight, just hoping for a decent performance and 100% effort from everybody on the pitch.

Great goal. Hopefully this will make Olympiakos nervous.

Need another goal. Arsenal are not capable of keeping a clean sheet tonight.

We will need a third. Without Cazorla and Coquelin, I don't think we have the midfield to kill this.

Wonder how ArsenalFanTv will react to this. Normally everything is Girouds fault and when he does do something good, like tonight, he's elevated to the best striker in the league.

At least we won't be the worst team in the last 16.

No idea what our team's going to look like at Swansea at the weekend. If Joel Campbell's in it we might as well not turn up.

He's done well since getting his chance hasn't he? Scored a few goals, put on a few assists.
