Already got one fixture on tonight as well at Luton with Wimbledon carrying on where they left off from last season being extremely well organised and awkward to play against.

Good challenge for us at Rotherham tomorrow. Be more than happy if we can pinch a point from it if possible.

Awful game with no quality, both teams direct.......Luton are not winning no league

I'm always wary of reading too much into the opening day in terms of the season as a whole (apart from the time we got a double-fisting at Barnsley). Tight pitch and a Wimbledon team that know how to set up and stop an opponent don't think it was ever going to be a great spectacle. Onus very much on Luton to change things if it continues second half.

That was truly a painful watch. Bags of improvement to come and needed.

Probably a classic first game of the season where you’re playing a team on the up, a real banana skin. Only three players in that starting XI were here at the start of last season.

We’re going to need to get to grips with the physicality of this league quickly. Because that was a lot different from where we came from.

You will not meet a more physical team than Wimbledon, but they had no quality. Surprised you went as direct as you did, played into their hands
Nobody in your team impressed me, Mads Anderson is quality as is McGuiness but 10m wow. You never offered nothing in midfield, Alli is ok.as is Wells
Yates is a good signing, but i do not see you going up with that team.

Terrible game. For me the issue is you cant play a shape like that where you want the attacking threat to come from your wingbacks with a CB playing there and at best a defensive minded RB (for me Walters looks more centre half that RB and certainly not a RWB).

I never felt we were ever in any danger of losing the game bjt couldn’t see us scoring barring an error which is what happened

I’ve never thought we would be winning the league or troubling the auto spots when you look at our business so far and didn’t see much to dissuade me from that view. Like i said after the spurs friendly, think we will be solid enough defensively but don’t see us being plentiful enough scorers really

I’ve watched us in around 300 minutes of pre season online and that was probably the worst we’ve played that I’ve seen in the month they’ve been in game mode.

Midfield has some quality there but no fluidity or creativity yet, everything was being stifled. It was like we were expecting more space to be available like you would have in the league above, and AFCW which is their prerogative didn’t let us play.

Pre-season is always a different beast. Even with the tempo and competiveness only that 10%-15% less, it's never going to replicate a proper league game, so new teams are going to take at least 5 games to gel into it, with a big turnover it'll always look bad. Good time for Wimbledon to get Luton out of the way.

For us against Wigan today we're probably going to have 3 players in the 11 who were with us last year, injuries permitting could even be 2, so I'm not expecting any fluidity or great performances, but my big hope going away to a very confident Wigan is that the same will be true of them as well.

I do think Wimbledon deserve a lot of credit for playing in such a disciplined manner and it was only a very unlucky own goal that cost them a point. Opening day fixtures are notorious for being very disjointed so shouldn’t be a surprise really from Luton’s perspective. Things will look different come October.

I know most of pre-season Moore has been persevering with a 3-4-3 formation but expect he will go back to what worked best for us last season with Stockley and Tolaj up top. Looking forward to it though, Rotherham’s ground is probably up there as one of my favourites of the newer build stadiums.

Even without the unlucky header, Woodrow was through on goal. You do need to credit Nakhi Wells for the delivery as that clearly drew him into it.

Wells and Anderson the best two players on the park and they were no better than ok
Jackson had the dons set up to hassle and get in the faces of Luton, what shocked me was the lack of quality from Luton.
Yes it is only 3rd tier football but that last night was no better than national league

Cardiff look a country mile better than Luton but to be fair they are being allowed space Luton did not have last night.
Two young teams that are being re-built

Yes Luton have got relegated twice in two years. You don’t need to keep criticising Luton in every post you make.

Cardiff stunk the place out last season and have signed no one since last year.

Barry Murphy has got this young Cardiff team playing decent stuff. Can't see them keeping all three of Salech, Colwill, and Robinson though. Could potentially lose all three.

You are fav to go up 3/1 to win the league.....We was 7/2 to win Tomorrow you are top dogs and as such you are targeted.
I have praised you all pre-season saying you are building the club up the right way, getting the high earners off your wage bill........Take it from me you do not need promotion this season
You have found your level, rebuild then go again........I told you your spending would be limited
My comments are on how you performed last night, you will be around the top six for me......Automatic promotion not a chance

Think they do look strong even without signing players. Colwill looks a standout talent for this level as does Tanner, Salech imo
