Oscar Garcia, the former Brighton manager has recently been appointed manager of my team Watford. However, despite having lost his first game in charge there has been comments about his style of football and formations. What I want to know is what are Brighton fans' thoughts on Garcia and his time at the Amex and what do Watford fans feel about the appointment?

I'm a little bit hit and miss on this. I think Watford could do with a strong English manager that has a better knowledge and experience of english football. With a team full of European imports you can't help but feel some English experience may see them in better standings with a properly realistic chance of automatic promotion. I suspect they will do well again this season, give a few wallopings out - especially to teams near the bottom playing on the counter. I do wonder if some of the European lads will be up for it in Mid February away at Bolton on a -5 snowy Tuesday night and that kind of sums up Garcia for me.

He did an okay job at Brighton, good budget though and big expectations - I believe his style of slow continental football bored some of the Brighton fans. Aslong as he adaps and learns I can see the playoffs for Watford. I have a special interest, Walsall have 20% on Troy Deeney I believe, so selling him or him doing well is only good for us!

I can definitely agree with your views. I'm intrigued by the appointment and believe with his Barcelona upbringing it may benefit us. However, we have only won 2 of the last 20 away games and that is our main concern. Having bought in some known championship players such as Lloyd Dyer and Craig Cathcart, the British influence remains with the core of the side. However it is tactically where we need to work out how to play. Recently 3-5-2 has been popular but Garcia tested out a few formations this weekend away at Charlton. With Garcia new to the job and several players away on international duty it's hard to judge him on the brief time with the side. For me he needs to bring the best out of our defence and bring out the Vydra of two seasons ago. With regards to Troy Deeney, he has only just committed himself to a new 4 year deal and with the Pozzo family in charge there appears to be no sign of the club giving up our main asset. With the championship getting forever stronger winning games away at places like Bolton, Millwall & Rotherham become even more crucial to challenging with the favourites such as Norwich, Cardiff & Nottm Forest. One things for sure, these next few weeks will be vital for Garcia to get the club going again.

He didn't have the players at Brighton that he wanted but did a great job with what he had, wasn't the best football but does the job
