Jackie McNamara is a joke.

  1. He got caught out not paying for an £86 train ticket. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...0-fine-dodging-train-fare-Edinburgh-York.html Went to trial and got a £500 fine.
  2. He has won 17.8% of his games at York City.
  3. He wrote the script of a cancerous film called The Therapy Room, starring his degenerate younger brother. Check out this quality acting.
Tired of him, hope our board get rid of him soon before he does any more damage.

If he wasn't doing poorly there isn't a chance in hell any York fan would give a damn about the train fare or the car pose picture either, nobody chased Ingham out of the club for the "Subway Gate" stuff which was much worse.

He's got a crap record, he really should have gone, but the rest of this stuff we've become obsessed with is a little embarrassing, I'll stick to judging him on being inept at his actual job which is of far greater concern.

Surprised he has not been sacked, must be down to money. We are struggling now paying two managers wages.

Bit of a strange statement from York...what if they play really well but get robbed by a last-minute decision?

FOLLOWING a meeting with the Chairman this morning, and in light of the disappointing performance and result last night, York City manager Jackie McNamara has considered his position going forward.

It has been decided that, if the team fails to gain a positive result at Braintree Town on Saturday, the York City manager will tender his resignation.

The manager will be looking for a passionate and committed reaction from the players after the capitulation at Nethermoor Park on Tuesday evening.

Why not just sack him? If the board know he's not doing well enough what are the odds one game will change everything?

Isn't the rumour that York can't really afford to sack him, so they're just waiting for him to quit..

We're a laughing stock, McGill's dedication to McNamara is damaging, laughable and embarrassing. York City are not going to get a penny out of me any time soon.

He will resign if York don't get a "positive result" on Saturday. Technically, losing 3-0 is more positive than a 6-1 loss, so will he stay if that happens? Even if they win on Saturday, does that mean he is staying for a while? The whole situation is a mess. With him in charge, York are nose diving towards the drop zone at an alarming rate. The decision not to sack him must be purely financial, no chairman would put this much faith in a failing manager, surely?

Hope he stays a week because it gives Curzon a great chance in FA Cup.

Sadly me thinks it could be the caretaker

That's effectively set up to lay blame purely with the players.

The opinion of a neutral with no connection to York if anyone is interested. It is a unique scenario, I do hugely feel sorry for their fans.

It's been confirmed that finances are NOT an issue, McGill has a habit of becoming very emotionally invested in people and it clearly clouds his judgement.

If that's the case then it's embarrassing, he must be the only person on the planet who thinks that McNamara is still the right man. What more does he need to do to be sacked? Most chairmen would have sacked him months ago.

Jason has bought into the long term vision and that's fine, but equally he is the only board member left, he shoulders everything, there's nobody else there to discuss these things through, McNamara isn't the first person he's developed a very close loyal bond to, was same with Mills, Worthington, Creswell/Greening, now McNamara.

He needs people on the board to delegate and discuss these sort of things, the current situation is untenable regardless of what happens. Jason cares, I don't doubt it, but he's not being objective and hasn't been a few times unfortunately.

I also don't think McNamara is satan, all the extra crap about trains and cars is the press stirring, all I care about is the results on the pitch, those are why he should go, I don't think he deserves abuse over such pointless crap like train tickets. He needs to leave because he's failing in his primary task, that is the simple answer.

But it goes well beyond him and is long term and it's part of McGill effectively running the club alone.

Meant to say, I was playing Darts with a mate who supporters York on Tuesday evening and his face at the end of our doubles game was an absolute picture after he saw the scoreline.

Really feel sorry for York fans. We've been shit for years before this season, but even we never got regular thumpings like you're getting, and in this league as well.

We have to remember that it's not nice to sack someone. I think we get a little immune to this in football but to sack someone isn't something that should be done lightly, pay off or no pay off.

I'm not saying he should stay only that it's not as easy as some make out.

I'm quite flummoxed as to how York have managed to lose 6-1 twice now in the league, it seems some teams just, when they crumble, they do so in style.
