Ohh if only they watched back the game at field mill... that was ambaressing by oxford.

However despite their fans the team is one of the best in the league (should be for how much they've thrown at it) they just need a decent keeper.. slocombe was useless for scunthorpe and i see he's still no better.

Got to laugh at oxfords forum though, Oxford fans of all calling the opposition dirty, cheats and pressuring the ref.

Had the dictionary not been invented, I'd have used that as the definition of hypocracy

That's Oxford's fans for you, they're like that on here too! I find it funny how Tinpot now tries to act humble and less biased in his posts when he is known for being the worst of them. I bet behind the scenes he's really raging about this match.

What can you do when your goalkeeper gifts the opposition two goals? It is such a shame we let Ryan Clarke go. He was (and I am sure is) so much better than Slocombe.

Sadly for Ryan Clarke we've got Adam Smith who is a class apart.

What?

No I just find it stupid how you always predict Oxford to win 3-0 for every match, it's as if you can't be arsed to actually think about the game so you just put it down as a 3-0 win as if it's the first thing that comes into your tiny mind.

This is how we spot people who have never been to the Kassam.

Nah, you're wrong. I knew that Richard was referring to pubs and that's why I inserted the emoticon at the end. Personally, I think pubs aren't everything when it comes to rating away grounds, as I don't exactly mind not having a pub that's a 30 sec walk from the away end. Yeah, drinking is important but so are other things like un/comfortable seating, the view from the away stand, the friendliness of the locals, and whether parking is a problem or not.

Or it's like I recognise the futility of making predictions about a game between a side I actively support, and a side I've never seen play.

Which would also explain why I'm quite happy to talk about the details of a game after its happened, rather than that bizarre Oxford conspiracy you mentioned about trying to appear balanced whilst we were all secretly raging.

But I bet a lot of things don't make much sense to you.

Wasn't focussing on the pub comment as such - just amazed that someone would question us being a bad away day. Howling winds, no decent away pub within 30 minutes walk, parking bottlenecks taking 30-60 mins to escape, £20+ taxi from the station, you'll probably lose 3-0 - not a lot to like.

How much we've rthrown at it? Our budget certainly isn't top three.

As for last night, we started very slowly and didn't really play at all in the first 30-40 minutes. Second half though was much better and really should have scored 2 or 3 more with the good chances we had, but kept out by a bit of poor finishing, decent blocks, and the ball just not falling to us on the fair amount of penalty box rebounds. Got to blame Slocombe for both of the goals though, and I doubt he'll be starting the next match.

Two points dropped, but a point better than nought.

I'd forgotten what a well balanced bunch you Mansfield fans were, chips on both shoulders. Some of you could do with spelling lessons too.

And then there's E10Rifle popping up on an Oxford thread, almost coming in his pants at our failure to win. You're another one with an inferiority complex regarding Oxford United, with borderline stalker tendencies.

Add to this Football Mad, who I think is a bit odd, and has some sort of anti Oxford agenda, and persecution complex.

Make the most of the next couple of months chaps, because we're out of here at the end of the season, and leaving you losers behind.

Toodle pip.
