Long ball nonsense from us again. Most balls aimed at Chuks' throat, absolutely horrible to watch.
Should have scored two gilt edged chances before Oxford had even had a sniff, but after that we did nothing to warrant taking three points. They did all the pressing and we struggled to string anything meaningful together. That winner served us right in the end.
Bit late but I know everyone is waiting to read my thoughts.
For the second time this season, it seemed like two decent (not great) sides cancelling each other out. Agree that the referee seemed to struggle to keep up with play, leaning on his linesmen to make a lot of decisions and generally allowing the game to deteriorate as it went on.
Dons should have scored in the first few minutes and suspect they could have won if they didn't fluff their chance. Add me to the list of those not sure why you gave up in the second half - but meant I thought we were good value for the win by the end.
Good attendance but subdued atmosphere, probably reflecting the game.
Notes on the respective returning heroes:
Rob Hall - the closest rival to Nelson for MOTM for my money. Lovely assist, won a penalty and think he got punished by some errant calls.
Baldock - couple of lovely bursts forward in the first half. You lot still keep him penned in a bit too much if you ask me.
