Whilst we have a decent home record this season, we haven't been very good against teams in the bottom half of the league. I'm wary of tomorrow and not particularly confident partly because of the above but also because of the Macclesfield performance. Hopefully, we can put in a performance tomorrow and get a result.

Not sure on the team. But my possible team is:
Eastwood
Edwards Nelson Dunkley Johnson/Skarz
Macca Lundstram Ledson Hall
Maguire
Hemmings

You're wrong about us winning. We are dire so far and look toothless upfront. Your goal was offside though but our keeper had a mare going for the cross.

We were far better in the 2nd half and created enough chances to win but a lack of composure in front of goal cost us. One possible reason the lino (other than just being poor and missing it:dry:) may not have flagged for offside for the Oldham goal is that he may have thought an Oxford player knocked the ball through.

The Ref lost control of the game which was partly caused by him one minute giving everything and then giving nothing a few minutes later. As well as Oldham having a man sent off, Michael Appleton and Carlo Nash (I think) were also sent to the Stand. Graham Westley and McCheaty Evans would have been proud of the time wasting tactics employed by Oldham from mid 1st half onwards.

There may be some outrage on our forum with regards Connor Ripley because he gave the Oxford fans in the East Stand the wanker gesture. Personally I have no problem with it as he was getting plenty of abuse from the Oxford fans. Although, what the other Oldham player got involved for, I don't know.

We sit behind that goal and he was the closest man to the goal. Doesn't change that it was shocking keeping and defending by us!

If Ripley was getting shit all game then he has a right to give it back.

Goal looks onside if you look at the replay.

I agree on the 1st point although he only got shit in the 2nd half. He was lucky the ballboy didn't make more of the incident where he got booked though.

I refer you to my previous post on the 2nd point and I have watched the replay.

Hmm. He only really got stick for time wasting. When you dash around the back of your goal to wrestle with a ball boy who is trying to get a corner taken, you're probably being a prick.

Oh well. We couldn't beat L2 teams at home last year either.

He gave and got stick when coming out at half time which was the start of it all.
