I was only joking Paggers, I know it's you!
You're a Stevencc 'Hank Hill' parody account, as we all know the original Stevencc was Lenny Leonard.
Lambert got the Villa job the same month Rodgers became manager of Liverpool. And looking back it's funny the amount of people on TFF who believed that Villa got the better deal.
I mentioned this the other day you glory taking c***Lambert got the Villa job the same month Rodgers became manager of Liverpool. And looking back it's funny the amount of people on TFF who believed that Villa got the better deal.
The difference in resources both have had at their disposal is staggering, though. A manager's rep is held together by equal parts circumstance and luck, as well as ability. It would be interesting to see how Lambert would fare at a club that has ambition and would actually back him in the market, as I still believe that he has a lot to offer.
Actually come to think of it he'd have sent us down last year if he was our manager.
Lol who
Thought he did alright with England. Can I ask why Glenn Hoddle is always linked to jobs like this, and why do some Villa fans want him as manager? He's not been a manager for ages, he didn't seem to make much of a difference at QPR, and when he was manager about 10 years ago he was shit and now he comes across like he's talking sense on Sky/ITV people think he's a genius.
Yes, the investment has been non-existent since O'Neill left but even that doesn't fully account for how utterly awful Villa have been under Lambert. In top flight history there hasn't been a team score less goals after 25 games for example.
Thanks for letting us know.
Thought he did alright with England.
Because he oversees yoof development projects and had a reputation as a two-footed player, continental in style. It's stupid, but it certainly sounds romantic on paper. Can I ask why Glenn Hoddle is always linked to jobs like this, and why do some Villa fans want him as manager? All Hoddle did in charge of England was qualify for the World Cup and then lose two of the four games once there (one on pens tbf).
Gave Spurs' younger players a proper shot when previous managers didn't, and got them a decent points total comparable with previous and current managers despite everyone knowing he was a caretaker.""Aston Villa are in talks with Tim Sherwood over their vacant manager's job, according to Sky sources."""

Bad move for Villa if it happens. What exactly has Sherwood done at managerial level. They need somebody with experience
He has less than 6 months managerial experience, and won half of his games at Spurs, who have much better players than Villa. Just not the right appointment imoGave Spurs' younger players a proper shot when previous managers didn't, and got them a decent points total comparable with previous and current managers despite everyone knowing he was a caretaker.
Sure, the bizarre press conferences and interviews etc don't fill fans with confidence, plus we dont really know much about how good a manager he is, but his good points are often overlooked. Spurs are reaping the benefits of Kane, Mason etc with the exposure he gave them.
