The later series haven't been as good as the earlier ones but still looking forward to this. I don't know if we'll get a definitive ending, I think they'll leave it open so they could potentially return in a few years.

Agreed about the last few series I thought it became slightly tiresome and repetitive. I will watch the final series though just to see what they do.

I can't remember where I've seen up to. Might have to re-watch the last series to make sure I'm up to date.

A personal highlight for me in recent years was this scene. I was literally crying with laughter watching it for the first time...

Will miss it. There was a definite quality dip last season, but it was still thoroughly enjoyable which goes to say a lot. It's run its course for the time being following this season though.

"Nice uh, packet of Crunchy Nut you've got here. Pretty expensive as I recall..."

I've started re-watching from series 1.

Series 4 and 5 are fantastic. Some earlier episodes I've watched probably 15-20 times but series 6 onwards I haven't so I can't really remember what happened in the them.

Really looking forward to this series.

Rewatching it from the start and enjoying it hugely. Hadn't fully appreciated how strongly it begun.

it's a bit of a relic in this era. don't think audiences find dysfunctional male duos that funny anymore, especially with the rise of the millennials and ostensibly increased social consciousness.

bless tho, it certainly had its moments. i will miss it when it goes.

So since we're on day of the show a question to people here.

what do you think was the best episode???

I know it won't be among the choices here, but I think I really like the episode in first series where they end up at a party with Mark taking his shopping, mark then pulls this hot young Goth girl over some crispy pancakes then goes bowling, takes drugs, has conflicts over seeing sophie on a date then bowls his shopping down the lane.

plus always thinking how silly Mark was to be bothered about sophie when easily pulling a younger, hotter girl.

Honestly, there isn't a bad episode of it. Mostly because in every episode Jeremy, Mark, Super Hans or Johnson has s moment that is absolutely fantastic.

Been watching it all week. Seasons 2-4 are just absolute classics. I actually forgot how funny the show is.

Although I've not really bothered with it since the last series, I'm feeling quite emotional about it coming to an end.

The best episode has to be Mark and Sophie's 'wedding'. Although, the whole of series 4 leading up to it is excellent.

Seasons 3 & 4 are the pinnacle of the show for me. Sectioning, Shrooming, Jurying, Quantocking are all classics from season 3 then you've got Conference, Gym and the Wedding in season 4. The last few seasons have been pretty meh for me, apart from the Xmas episode which was brilliant.

I think I'd have to say Jurying is my favourite episode of all time.

One of my favourite Peep Show moments is when Mark sets up a job interview for Jez (series 1?) and he tries to fuck it up with a "face-spasm".

I thought Tonight's episode was good, series openers haven't always been the best, so nice to see the last series get off to a strong start.

The first half was hilarious. Superhans immediately going on a bender after being offered a sip of beer at a smoothie bar was easy money, but magical. The ending felt a bit beyond the pale though, more like Dapper Laughs level.

Yeah, I kinda thought the same. I think by now it's fairly well established that Mark, despite the veneer of respectability, is essentially a bit of a bastard, but forcibly evicting his flatmate and co-worker from his bed in the middle of the night still seemed a little bit out of character.

Thought it was a reasonably good opener though. Always enjoy Peep Show, even when it's slightly sub-par.

Solid episode.

Loved the scene with Mark and Jez on the sofa plotting to kill Jerry..

Decided to work my way back through them all before watching series 9. Just watched the shroom party in S3. Excellent episode.
