He'll get a shock when he goes to City and realises nobody gives a crap about them.

It will certainly be a bit of a shock to the system. Barca...to Bayern...to Manchester City.

At least you have your history.

YNWA

:animatedf:

Well Liverpool are a big club at least so he'd be better off going there instead of City!

The whole romanticism and history stuff that seems to be lumped in with him as a package doesn't quite sit right with City.

From Barca to Bayern has a couple of common threads running through it besides the fact that they are mega-rich clubs - a move to City basically just proves that Pep needs the best squad and a massive budget to achieve anything.

I'm not saying Pep isn't good but he lives a bit of a charmed life really. I think a lot of managers would do well with Barcelona and Bayern and it's being reported as if he has the choice between City, Chelsea and United. I always wonder how some of these so called top managers would do with a less fashionable club!

I'd love Mourinho to prove that he is indeed 'the special one' by turning up at Bolton and turning things around.

no, you are part of a portfolio that promotes the interest of corporate american billionaires. so much better.

Our owners aren't buying up clubs all over the world to promote their own vanity, they're business owners like the majority of chairmen. We're not a sports investment portfolio.

City fans really have nothing to gain in the who's worst debate, one set of fans detests their owners and actively wants them out the other holds up banners 'thanking them' . :nw:

As odious as the Glazers are they aren't responsible for torture and human rights abuses theres always that too.

I'd have much sooner have kept Mancini as manager, instead of having to have endured 3 years of pellers constantly getting it wrong. But yeah Pep and his philosophy would certainly take city to the next level.

People actually read TalkSport articles?

I thought that was a myth.

A bit like the curvature of the earth.

Silkyman uses whatever media he can if it's pro city and then quickly dismisses them as a credible source if it is the other way round

You know, I once heard he quoted an anti-United rant that was actually written in shit on a public toilet wall as a credible source.

Well bollocks. Good bye league for a few years. Expect to see an influx of former Barcelona and Munich players now.

Only reaction to this for United is sadly Jose.

This is a cryin' shame, I thought he'd give himself a challenge after playing on easy mode with Barca and Bayern but he's gone for the team best placed to dominate in the short term without much effort once again.

Pep goes for the easy option once again. Still, it will be a challenge for him in the sense that he won't inherit a golden generation of Spanish/German players this time. Guarantee he'll go to PSG/Juventus in three years to finish cleaning up the domestic honours.

Shame, really.

Would be nice to see him not quite have it all his own way now mind. With the TV money coming in next year he's possibly picked the hardest time to 'dominate' the Premier League.

Oh come on now, don't be a bitter United cliche.
