The mini revival under Shez continues.

Last 5 games

Latics 0-1 Bury
Shrewsbury 0-1 Latics
Wigan 0-0 Latics
Blackpool 0-0 Latics
Latics 2-1 Gillingham

Gillingham 2-1 Peterborough
Peterborough 0-1 Burton
Chesterfield 0-1 Peterborough
Peterborough 0-4 Bradford
Millwall 3-0 Peterborough

Seems we are in the better form but means nothing in the grand scheme I don't think. Posh smashed us earlier in the season, though we had a good excuse in Darren Kelly. I was grateful for that whooping though as it meant Kelly was sacked.

Coleman

Wilson - Dieng - Gerrard - Lafferty

Dummigan - Palmer - Kelly - Forte

Holloway - Main
Peterborough 1-1 Latics (Main)

I'd take a point in this but I'd still go for the win. I recon we can compete with the best defensively since shez and shirtliff came in. It's upfront where we are lacking. However Peterboroughs goals against column in recent games means you have to fancy us to score at least once. We could just nick this 1-0.

Has Westley been found out yet? always seems to make a decent start at clubs and then his methods set in....

Lost all excitement for this season now. Think we will continue to go out with a wimper. However don't think we will lose this one and expect Westley to set us up accordingly. 1-1 my prediction

I also expect it will be one of our lowest attendances for a while.

Shez is a fucking beautiful wonderful man. I'd have his fucking babies if we can stay up this year

Would I be off base by suggesting that the honeymoon under Westley has worn off and he's now reverted to what he is, an abysmal manager?

Must admit, its nice to see Posh falter because I can't stand Westley and the way MacAnthony was crowing a couple of months back was unbearable. I think Westley was a shit appointment and I hope Posh fall flat on their arses next season. I also can't stand how much MacAnthony thinks he's a genius in the transfer market when he's had just as many(if not more) misses than hits. Sorry Posh fans, nowt against you guys.

Wasn't it that he wanted 600 passes and 25 shots a game? Tool. At least we'll get to play them next year, the inbred wankers.

Honeymoon period is long finished, yes.

I get what you mean with DMac, but to be fair to him, we don't hire scouts. Him, Fry and the manager do it.

Depends what you class as a 'miss'. We haven't taken many who then drop out of the league for example. With respect, if we take them, they're normally good enough to become a good FL player.

Don't know how anyone can have a pop at Peterborough's recruitment, a lot of clubs should follow suit.

Snap up young, rough diamonds from non-league, league two or released by bigger clubs and then try to develop them. They've now earned a reputation to command excellent fees for the ones who turn out great as well.

Fair enough they've spent a fair bit of money over the years but they've always made it back, and then some.

Too many clubs stick to the tried and tested which is why a lot of them spend their time plodding around in the bottom two divisions, obviously a decent eye for potential helps as well though.

Totally agree.

I only wish our club would follow suit instead of clamouring around for Prem loanees who, when the chips are down, couldn't give a fuck.

Since Shez has come in, the incomings have been excellent.
