He is very different to Stevens and Telford. I love him because he affects the game all over the pitch.

You'll obviously have seen him a lot more than I have, but he was dreadful against us and every other time I've seen your games. Anyway, he's lucky Connor Hall only signed for us in January or that award would be his. ;-)

Matt’s good in that the ball always sticks when it goes up to him, he’s a proper focal point that occupies defenders and creates space for team mates, especially Stevens who wouldn’t have scored half as many without him, as well as being a leader on and off the pitch. He’s also great at attacking and defending set pieces and is actually quicker then he looks too. Goals dried up badly in the last couple of months though, maybe through fatigue as he played every game.

Tbh I’m not sure he was our best player last season let alone in the whole division but he’s a top bloke so happy for him anyway.
