Kane should win the young player for me, but Alli will take it. The only reason is because his rise this season has been more meteoric but I still think Kane is the better and more important of the two players for Spurs.
Then Vardy for player of the season. Could get the golden boot, has broke the consecutive scoring record, he's been involved in more goals than any of the others (goals and assists) and he is probably the most integral player in the side that tops the table.

The only player that qualifies for "Young" in the second list is Alli. The rest are established players. and even though they're younger than some, it just seems stupid to have anyone over 20. And so for me, Alli wins it over Kane.

Well you're moving the goalposts sir. And I for one shall not be dissuaded. Be gone.

Jimjams, you're wrong. I won't sit here and explain why, but accept it and move on.

How is Martial not on the YPOTY list? He's been better than Barkley for one, surely?

Wonder when the last time no Man U/Chelsea/Man City players were nominated for the PFA award?

Vardy - League MVP. Sports Personality of the Year. All-time football legend.
Kanté - most dominant and dynamic central midfielder season performance since Vieira and Keane.
Mahrez - the best clutch attacking midfielder in the country.

Coutinho on the YPOTY award but not Bellerin or Dier is ridiculous. The age limit it far too high on YPOTY anyway. It should be 21 or under at the start of the season, or something like that.

How is Martial not on the YPOTY list? He's been better than Barkley for one, surely?

Probably not, no. The new kids on the block always get over-hyped. Barkley has 12 goals and 10 assists in 39 games, Martial has 13 goals and 3 assists in 43 games.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

The omission of Aguero did raise my left eyebrow about a quarter of a centimeter for a moment.

But don't they vote for this in January or something?

Who would he get in ahead of even if it was voted for today?

It's more that he seems to be becoming something of a Leo Di Caprio for it. Not even been nominated for four seasons now, despite finishing top scorer by a clear margin last season. (That said, only Toure has been nominated from City since 2012...)

This year he's only one behind Kane and Vardy this season in the equivalent time on the pitch of about 10 fewer games.

Not that it matters in the slightest really.

You can tell it doesn't matter.

Aguero should have been on it last year. Not sure he warranted it any other time ahead of the competition.
