As far as I can tell no one actually bothered opening a thread for the Crawley game (I have noticed generally the league 2 forum seems a little quiet) so I am getting this in nice and early.

Notts managed only their 2nd away win at Crawley under new manager Fullerton, it wasn't a pretty game by the sounds of it (I was in Long Eaton watching the referee call the game off 10 minutes before KO!) but a clean sheet and 3 points all the same.

Our home form which was the only thing saving Moniz has dropped off somewhat in the last few games so a win against Wimbledon would be a very good result especially with them doing well.

We are on form and always better away from home than at home. I am quietly confident of a point here or maybe all three. That being said you will probably smash us! Lyle Taylor is in great form currently so you will have to stop him to win. I note it is pay on the door. Hope you open more than one turnstyle as I would expect up to 600 away fans and most will turn up pissed at 5 to 3.

Last time we played Wimbledon in the league was in the top division, John Fashanu got sparked out in a clash with Steve Cherry and had to be given emergency treatment to stop him from swallowing his tongue.

Happy Days.

Lyle Taylor's comfortably one of the worst players I've ever seen in our time touring lower league teams, he's played against us multiple times and looks like he struggles to run without falling over let alone score.

He will of course now score on Saturday.

gonna put the curse on us, with a prediction of 2-1 Wombles. Not sure how Mansfield called our goals, using the direct method, when one of them was from a corner.

You've only seen him touring League 1 though, where his scoring record is 5 goals in 61 games. Think it's fair to say he won't make it at that level. 34 from 69 in Scotland and 10 from 23 for us means he does know where the goal is against shittier and stupider defenders. One on one he'll almost always score.

I'd probably score more than 34 in 69 in the Scottish 2nd division in fairness.

I'm surprised at this. The scunthorpe fans rated him and he gas been superb this season for us. I guess we shall see on Sat.

Lyle Taylor is currently on fire as is Ade Azeez. Beware Notts County, beware.

BTW. where is worried womble with his ref watch?

You've surely got to respect his goal every other game at international* level though.

* Montserrat, who aren't the worst international team in the world. Nearly, but not quite.

Depends on whether we turn up as per usual. We should have beaten you at your place but failed to make sensible adjustments or shut up shop properly.

Hopefully a bit of shape might help us

I might be going mad but I think Noble is back for this one which will make it interesting to see what the new manager does.
Can he be the manager to calm Noble!

Assume there'll be changes for this, can't see us playing Scot Bennett as a central midfielder in a home game. Could see him going to centre back alongside Hollis, with Hewitt back at right back.

Be interesting to see what else he does, though. Aborah and McLeod really should play if they're fit, Noble is back from suspension (and good when not fighting people). Still reckon Aborah/Thompson/Noble is our best midfield combination, but then McLeod isn't great as a lone striker and we don't have wide players good enough to play that role.

Our squad has loads of good players but it's so fucking imbalanced. Bloody Guy Branston.

RefWatch; Ref for Notts County v Wombles is Seb Stockbridge, 30, a cop from Durham. FL ref since '13. Second Durham cop we've had this season (Nigel 'Two Cocks' Miller did the York game in October). Can't imagine there's much crime for cops in tranquil, leafy Durham to solve, all they must do is drive around all day kicking out the Scottish, a bit like Sheriff Teasle in Rambo (not that Rambo's Scottish). Mind you, he couldn't speak English much, was a complete social reject, drank too much & started fights with everyone, so maybe Rambo was a Jock.

Reffed Wombles twice & sent off a Womble in both games; 1-0 win away at Southport in the Conference in '10 when Jolley scored & Minshull was sent off; & the 0-0 draw away to Burton last Feb when Mark Phillips got a red. Reffed County 4 times (W3 L1), most recently the 3-2 away win at Barnsley in Oct 14. Loves the scum. Reffed them twice & they've not lost. Loves them. Monster. Hmmm, sends off Wombles & loves the scum? Bit of a prick, aren't we, Seb. Home win % is 30%, lowest ever. In 18 games this season he has given 64 Y & 3 R - very high Y.

AnagramWatch; Seb Stockbridge = Bob Greets Dicks.
Notts County = O Snotty c***.

It's more the fact you've all predicted an away win, rather than playing style....

I reckon we will win this. We had the beating of Notts in our last match, and our players only really started playing in the second half.
I'm guessing the same will happen this time around. We will either do them on the counter, or County will get an early goal, put everyone behind the ball, and we will over run them in the second half.

Having said that, 3 games ago it was all doom and gloom, so we're just as likely to implode and go on another winless run. Here's hoping that doesn't happen though :2thumb:

Have you seen the amount of goals we score and concede at home? We're far more likely to go 2-0 up and lose 3-2 trying to score more. Unless Fullarton changes everything, obviously.

Said a while ago I was waiting for a manager who could finally kill off the very little interest I had left in Notts.

Found one. No more Notts games for me this season.
