Yes and we sold him for a world record fee to the Man City of the day. Helped pay for our grandstand which stood until 5 years ago.
Not quite the Man City but 5k was a lot of money in the early 1920sYes and we sold him for a world record fee to the Man City of the day. Helped pay for our grandstand which stood until 5 years ago.
Why aren't you on tv. Peter Kay isn't around anymore so theres a vacancy for an unfunny unoriginal Lancastrian. Get yourself on BGT. The lions need feeding. Then theres you Rob [very apt] Shep name of a fetch me carry me dog ......Herd [ hides behind others in a pack]
Ok thanks for the clarification and I kind of see your point, I think what you are saying is that if letting a relatively largish number of people into a hotel is deemed safe, then letting a smaller number of people into an outside stadium, if policed properly (re one way entrances and exits, sanitisation etc) should be ok?What i am saying if our facilities are ok both as a vaccine centre and a Nightingale Court.......They are ok to let fans back in, all be it on a reduced capacity
If you understand how a nightingale court actually works , which i do due to a nieces husband being involved in their set up, then you would know that they have little or nothing in common with allowing fans into football stadiums.Ok thanks for the clarification and I kind of see your point, I think what you are saying is that if letting a relatively largish number of people into a hotel is deemed safe, then letting a smaller number of people into an outside stadium, if policed properly (re one way entrances and exits, sanitisation etc) should be ok?
Indeed, and I won't pretend to understand but yeah I hear you. I suppose its like comparing apples with motorbikes. If you understand how a nightingale court actually works , which i do due to a nieces husband being involved in their set up, then you would know that they have little or nothing in common with allowing fans into football stadiums.
Basically its all made possible through using CCTV. Officials work within the actual court, witnesses give evidence from another location and any juries involved are in another location where they can be suitably apart, such as a cinema. It ensures that a large number of people are not all in the same place at one time. Like 8,000 in a football stadium.Indeed, and I won't pretend to understand but yeah I hear you. Ah ok. so its mainly done remotely then.Basically its all made possible through using CCTV. William Adams was born there in the middle 16 century. He was the first European to be made a Samurai. Clavell’s book Shogun is based on him.tell me something remotely interesting about Gillingham............Half the country dont know where it is
Wembley has been set at 10,000 with its capacity of 90,000. Why would a stadium with less than a third of that as capacity be allowed nearly as many in. No wonder we can't get rid of this virus with logic like that around. Logic being applied in its loosest term.Just a reminder about capacity for these games (if it has already been pointed out I apologise) if they go ahead again.
The number of people allowed to attend is not a percentage of the grounds capacity. It is a percentage of the grounds socially distanced capacity. Everybody attending as a spectator must be 2 metres apart from each other.
It can really reduce the amount of people allowed.

Not really sure how The Bolterminator will react to this news, surely the Reebok is bigger than Wembley?8,000 fans to be allowed at wembley.![]()
Carabao Cup final to have 8,000 fans
The Carabao Cup final between Tottenham and Manchester City will have 8,000 fans in attendance after it is confirmed as a pilot event to test the return of big crowds.www.bbc.co.uk
