Well done Bristol and Grimsby. Thoroughly deserved over the two games and showed how far off the pace FGR and Eastleigh were.

Quite the contrast in celebrations at the full time whistle. Very much a 'one game to go' mentality from Bristol whilst Grimsby seem to have already been promoted. Time will tell as to whether it matters.
Bang on. So cringeworthy that it threatened to sour it for me, but a great second half showing from us which is better to focus on.

Bridle are an insurance company. Maybe he was refused a dodgy claim??

Given that Bridle are the majority shareholders I can only assume that he doesn't have any specific objections to them as a company. It would be pretty hypocritical to take their money to play and then object to wearing a shirt with their name on it.

What an atmosphere Wembley will be. Can't wait. Did I read you can't buy tickets online?!

It's anybodys game though, wouldn't want to begin to call it. Hopefully it's ours though

No complaints, in both games we were nowhere near them. Would like Brizzle to go up now, if only to get rid of that effing song.

Agreed, I started the day hoping that the Gas might see Irene in their dreams and Forest Green in their nightmares, but alas it was not to be. They were by far the best team in both legs, it would be a pointless exercise to start blaming people for our defeats, but we didn't deserve anything and that is precisely what we got. I think it is fair to say that both teams who made it deserve their opportunity to get back into the League based purely on the football they play. Good luck and enjoy your day, see one of you back at TNL next season.

That's what the Conference were saying earlier this week - will be an utter farce if the sales are phone-only.

Hopefully they've seen some sense and will release tickets online as well as by phone.

Darrell Clarke is a slick PR savvy machine, isn't he? There's a reason Clem's got that clipboard.

Thank Christ, they're selling tickets online.

Would have been a disaster otherwise.

First 25 minutes i was seriously starting to shit myself, we were so bad, then a moment of quality and suddenly Eastleigh just seemed to give up, great feeling 2nd half to be so comfortable under no pressure whatsoever.
Ok time to own up to sonething here, the kids could see everyone lining up to go on the pitch and asked to go on, so i couldn't disappoint them, and once there i couldn't stop myself going up to Ollie Palmer and rubbing his greasy locks........ :D
Sorry, tinpottedness here i come.... :ffs:

Does anyone know why Yemi doesn't have a sponsor on his shirt? Same in the first leg
Something to do with being on loan at us for a few months I'd imagine. No idea what exact reason though, it wouldn't have been hard to print him a new one?

Great result, it's just a shame a select few of our fans weren't behaving before, during and after the game. As for the pitch invasion, I thought it was a little over the top but shows what it means to the club. When asked to leave the field so the Town players could do the lap of honour, nobody listened and for me that was very disrespectful.

Congratulations to Eastleigh as well. To get into the play offs in your debut season is a great achievement.

But he had his name on the back - that's what I couldn't work out!

Well I was working today, absolutely no intention of going to the match even if I could, not seen us win at home in two seasons so didn't want to be the jinx. Manager came up to me at 10 past 3 and said I can go home. Blundell Park was about 20 minutes down the road. It was a sign surely? I'd have been daft not too right?

What a way to lift the jinx, if there ever was such a thing. Atmosphere was unbelievable. I've been very worried that we'd be celebrating far too early, as with my earlier rant about all the focus on Wembley opposed to actually going up, but I don't think it was that today. Pride has finally been restored, belief finally instilled. I've said it a number of times this season but this lot ain't like the others. This lot can do it.

John-Lewis was absolutely unbelievable today. Without a doubt the best I've seen him play. What epitomises it all is when he stole the ball and went one on one, there were no nerves, no hearts in mouths. Last season he would've sliced it wide but not this year. What a finish by Palmer as well, he ran through brick walls today to make up for his miss on Thursday.

It should be a great final. Our two previous games were very closely contested, just one goal in them. I heard there's a reason Disley didn't score in the semis. He's got one more left in him and it's got May* 17th written on it.

Well done Bristol Rovers & Grimsby - both outclassed your opponents in both legs and some cracking goals (especially by Grimsby).

Like Urban I would rather Eastleigh went up simply for yet another local game and I think they would have been less of a threat than you 2.

The attendance should be huge, let's not forget 8,000 tickets had already been sold via that Vanarama big day out promotion (including 900 Barnet fans). Almost wish I bought one now, only £10 and the best seats in the house (lower tier along the sides).

Insurance companies like that are forbidden in Islam.

It is a different system they use.

Brizzle v Grimsby should be good. Not bothered who goes up, new ground for me either way.

How is it unlucky?

That aside, so pleased to see either Grimsby or Bristol Rovers back up in the football league next season. 2 proper clubs who need to get themselves out of the non leagues. Would be a great story if Rovers were promoted first time, would be chuffed for their fans and their manager. He was thrown under a bus last season, really felt for him when he broke down on the final day when they were relegated. On the other hand, Grimsby have paid their non league dues and are need to get back into the FL.

I have no real preference, but if I had to choose, I'd want Grimsby back. They've suffered enough, get them back in the league. Plus Rovers are one of the few I would back next season to stop Eastleigh and FGR buying the title. But, if Rovers did come up, I would still be happy.

Best of luck to both teams.

Like others have said, the embarrassing pitch invasion has threatened to take some of the gloss off what was (after the first 30 minutes) a thoroughly professional and well-deserved victory. That first goal was always going to be massive. With a bit of brilliance, Ollie Palmer provided it. I was right behind it, just to the side of the goal and it was an inch-perfect finish. I have to admit when the Shop was through on goal I didn't have the most confidence he would score but it was a cool finish. Didn't see the third from the other end.

I thought our fans were very nervous until the first goal went in which was frustrating for me, trying to get chants going. After the first goal though we made a fair bit of noise. A word on Eastleigh's fans. I don't know if it came across on telly but they gave their team great backing, especially in the second half. Bloody annoying though that one chant!

Looking forward to Wembley. I'd say Bristol Rovers start as favourites but we can do it, no doubt about that.
