All very well, but who wants to spend 90 minutes willing Salford to win.

Our three top goal scorers are all out injured and our top assister is only fit enough for the bench.

This is going to be fun :(

Salford saved by the bar then they go and score through an own goal. Jammy wankers.

Plenty of empty seats in the 4000 capacity home end for a play off semi against what are local rivals. Not often I will a team to lose this much who aren't Man Utd (although they really want to be). Come on Stocky, pull it out the bag! Will you have any of your injured players back for the home leg?

Apparently not.

Evans showing why we sent him out on loan to non league. Camps showing why he’s spent so much of the season on the bench and Hippolyte showing why he should be a squad player at best.

This is some stink the house down stuff from Stockport, a 1-0 loss would be a decent result all things considered.

Been a tough watch this. Stockport very laboured. Just all feels very low key not like you’d expect a playoff semi.

The commentators not helping by the way they are barely disguising favouring Salford.

I don't think Salford would last very long in League One. And it'll be interesting to see if they retain the level of interest in support were they to be relegated should they ever make it to that level. My thoughts are that they won't.

You can tell Stockport are missing key players in this game. It's knocked the stuffing out of them.

we just can’t afford missing Collar and Wootton.

Pretty heartbreaking way to finish the season with the biggest players we need out for all the playoffs. Only positive is that Rydel might be back to start next Saturday.

Very slow play off but happens a lot first leg as neither going to gamble, and games just feel flat at that ground it lacks any atmosphere or presence.

Second leg may be more interesting.

Feel like I should apologise for us letting the evil get one foot into Wembley. We were shocking though, take away the three-four stars and we're just ordinary, particularly coupled with a steadfast refusal to switch away from plan A.

I couldn't even see the ball at the end there.

Our season ended the moment the injury news came out. We have a fiicker of hope for next week but not much.

Any team would be ordinary if you took the equals out that we're missing.

I thought Salford possibly missed a trick by not going for it more after 60-65 minutes but sadly I don't think they have as nobody will be back next week.

Bit of a tough watch that, wasn't it? Salford looked a tidy side in the first half but seemed content with the lead going into the second leg.

I'd expect a much better game in the second leg.

So many hugely overpaid bang average players in our squad. If ever a game showed up our DOF for what he is this was it.

How do you plan when missing all of your scorers? It isn't just putting the ball into the net, it is just as much to do with movement and positioning to allow your mates to find you. 1 you can cover for but 3 or 4? Any one of us would be sick if this happened to our team.

That’s the worst team we’ve put out all season and we’ll chuck a load of money at it.

I’d suggest about five or six of the players that got on the pitch tonight would be in a our squad next season if we went up.

Need to move to the NL play off system, one game all or nothing makes them much more exciting.

1-0 at ht isn’t a bad result with the second leg at home from a County perspective, forget not playing well and having a few out, you could be 3-0 and it be game over, it’s not.

I’d agree you’d probably take a 1 goal deficit into a home 2nd leg in the circumstances. Missing players or not Stockport have a great chance of getting to Wembley. They’d likely have taken it at the start of the season. Salford aren’t particularly good and are there for the taking, though away results over the season have been reasonably good.

Salford play a lot better away from home than at home. I’d make Salford favourites to get to Wembley now, and Bradford fans will be saying why can’t Wembley give us 80,000 tickets as Salford will not sell any.

They'll have fans climbing the arch to watch it
