I thought I saw somewhere that you were in for another striker?
County have been linked with Norwood for a while now, nothing has progressed further than when the rumour started am month ago. 'Cos of squad limits it looks like we're operating on a one-out, one-in basis, there's been rumours of Quigley going to Morecambe but nothing substantial, and if any forward was to leave I'd maybe suspect it to be Jennings first

All these teams collecting loads of strikers and CMs, its comforting to know that Paul Hurst sticks to what he knows and collects full-backs...

Joe Grayson LCB
Niall Canavan CB

Solomon Nwabuokei M *
Harrison Neal M

Forwards;-
Josh Gordon LF
Josh Kay LW/LWB/CM
Jordan Stevens RM/RW
Billy Waters F
Richie Bennett F *

* = injured - impact injury - not sure how long yet.
** = injured - but almost back

Mark Ellis looks like he's leaving - but Pete Wild is being tactful and will only say we'll know more in the next week or so - so i'm guessing a season long loan somewhere. Ellis was squad number 6 last season, but Niall Canavan has just switched from No 27 to No 6 which just about confirms it. Still expecting 3 more players in;- a LB. LM and CF Hopefully of 1 (possibly 2) by the Salford game on Saturday. I'm thinking maybe we have a bid in for a CF - Andy Cook(?), Quigley (?), Josh Kelly (?) or a.n. other (?)

Few more additions and departures from last time out, that takes us up to a squad of 20, I think defensively we're sorted, enough cover in all positions to be happy, really need another wide man/winger which I think we're waiting on via a loan, hopefully McKinstry from Leeds, an attack minded CM or CAM and a final striker, think Gray will play more as a wide man and Carver I don't think will get much of a look in, that should be us.

Unless anyone leaves. I suspect our business is done:
Goalkeepers:
Mitchell
Jones
Bottomley (going out on loan)

Defenders:
Knoyle
Younger
Williams
Olowu
Anderson (injured)
Long
Faulkner (going out on loan)
Maxwell
Seaman (can also play midfield but suspect he is one of the players we want to move on)

Midfield:
Clayton
Rowe
Tomlin
Biggins
Ravenhill (going out on loan)
Close (injured)
Hurst
Molyneux
Taylor (injured)

Strikers:
Miller
Andrews (only player on loan)
Griffiths
Agard (suspect we want to move him on)
Barlow (injured)
Still an option to give Okenhibirie a contract if he can prove his fitness.
It looks as though 433 is the preferred formation so the likely starting 11 at Bradford is:
Mitchell
Knoyle
Williams
Olowu
Maxwell
Clayton
Biggins
Tomlin
Rowe
Miller
Molyneux

There’s been a few in’s and out’s since the last update.

Goalkeepers:
Harry Lewis
Colin Doyle
Joe O’shaughnessy
Heath Richards

Defenders:
Timi Odusina
Matty Platt
Romoney Critchlow
Brad Halliday
Luke Hendrie
Yann Songo’o
Liam Ridehalgh
Matty Foulds

Midfielders:
Ritchie Smallwood
Alex Gilliead
Harry Chapman
Dion Pereira
Abo Eisa
Ryan East
Jamie Walker
Scott Banks
Emmanuel Osadebe
Tyreik Wright
Levi Sutton

Strikers:
Andy Cook
Kian Harratt
Lee Angol
Vadaine Oliver
Jake Young

Plenty of strength in depth - something we’ve lacked, probably since our last successful season (16/17).

Budget looks nearer towards £4m than £3m.

Yeah, we must have a much bigger budget than last season. Just nice to go from signing shite like Theo Robinson 37 seconds before the window closes to bringing in Wright and Dion early on. Would have liked another CM but can't be perfect. We look really strong.

Looks more like an army than a squad with the size of it, must be close to Hartlepool’s playoff budget.

It’s obviously a massive squad and I think we’re playing the long game when it comes to rotation/taking full advantage of the five subs. Whilst there’s so many options in attacking midfield, there’s no stand out partner to Smallwood in centre mid, and not one of the full backs are 5 or 6/10 at absolute best.

Massive squad just got a whole lot bigger.

Just the 33 man squad, then.

Absolutely reeks of a £3.5m-£4m playing budget. It’ll be a travesty if we fail this season.

It’s a fat, obese in fact squad with too many average players for the ambition, only Lewis and Critchlow probably on his day, after that I’m struggling past those two as to who would walk into the majority of sides in this league, Jamie Walker if he ever plays two games in a row.
I think my quote from months ago has been proven right and the overall transfer policy now and in the summer seems to have little to no plan. ‘Vadaine Oliver, yeah I’ll have him, doesn’t really fit but why not. Renew a load of very average bottom half players on two year deals, yeah why not, we can get rid in a few months. Richie Smallwood, Championship captain (lol), we’ll sign you but partner you for the first half of the season with a crap winger in Gillead who fans will let off the hook because he ‘runs about a lot’. Jake Young, Timi Odusina, you have three year deals lads, you’ll get ten games if that and we’ll never see you again, crack on we can loan you out. Matt Derbyshire, Adam Clayton, 34 years young I say, the future of the club’.

Where you at in terms of the amount of players over 21 that you’re allowed to register?

Erm.. .not sure.

Within that list, 2 keepers are youth loans - training purposes?

Critchlow, Bola, Pereira, Nevers, Banks and Costelloe are loanees.

Hendrie, Cousin-Dawson, Threlkeld and Wood set to go out on loan/leave permanently.

- and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Pereira return to Luton.

Not sure what the rules are regarding registered players, as we’ve had more than 21 all season.

Players in bold are ones we've signed this window. Squad looks much healthier already with still another week+ left to add to it. Harris has said he wants to add at least 4 more. Desperately need another CB, maybe 2 with Baggott departing and FW as well as probably a left sided defender and another wide midfielder. Very light in numbers in defence although Mckenzie can also play there.

Goalkeepers
Glenn Morris

Jake Turner

Defenders
Cheye Alexander
David Tutonda
Max Ehmer
Will Wright

Midfielders
Shaun Williams
Stuart O'Keefe
Alex Macdonald
Olly Lee
Ben Reeves
Dom Jefferies
Robbie McKenzie
Timothee Dieng
Ethan Coleman
George Lapslie

Callum Harriott
Jayden Clarke
Jordan Green
Hakeeb Adelakun (Loan Lincoln)

Attackers
Scott Kashket
Oli Hawkins
Tom Nichols

Joe Gbode
Lewis Walker

Think 5 more would be perfect.
2 CBs, a left back, winger, and a striker.

Hopefully Lee, Green and Reeves (less likely due to his injury) all depart and Gbode heads out on loan to at least a National League South side.

OUTs so far are: Law, Mnoga, Baggott, and Mandron, although I may have missed someone

Harris said last night we want to add 4 more this window, Hessie said 6.
Centre back and striker priority
