Had a thought earlier, would your lot welcome Wagstaff back next season? He's out of contract here, it's very unlikely he'll get a new one given the lack of gametime he's been given, and I don't think he'll get another club at this level. He was fantastic in L1 for us!

Wasn't fantastic at all but steady and reliable. I like him a lot but league one is his level.

Definitely. He's probably the most talented I've seen at Posh (Martin Samuelsen aside but he was a loanee).

Just a shame he's such a fucktrumpet. He'll fall out with someone eventually and then that's it, you get nothing out of him except snide comments on social media and a few red cards.

He never had any issues at Middlesbrough.

I thought he was in our first season. Him, Baldock and JET were the standouts. Didn't feature much last season, but was good when called upon. Think he'll do very well next season back at that level.

If he's happy to, I'd like to see him kept as a squad player/sub tbh.

Romaine Sawyers - Apparently had a bid turned down for him in January, out of contract at Walsall this summer. If Walsall don't go up we'll probably go back in for him, but I'm sure we'll have competition from Dean Smith at Brentford.

Nicky Ajose/Sam Winnall - Put them together as I'd like to see one of them but not both signed. Can't be relying on Mr Grigg to score another 25+ next season. If he got injured or went on a bad run of form, we'd be screwed. So I'd like to see one of these two to share the load with him.

Jordi Gomez - Another one we spoke to in January. Royally out of favour at Sunderland, currently on loan at Blackburn. Former player, suits our playstyle and takes a great setpiece which we desperately need. If his wage demands are within reason then bring him home! Similar to Sawyers though so again I think it'd be a case of one or the other.

Stephen Warnock - Currently on loan and a class above L1 level. His signing was the one that probably got us over the line. Out of contract and would surely be cheap wages with his age.

Daniel Bentley - Out of contract at Southend and we will probably need a keeper. As brilliant as Jussi has been this season he's just turned 41 and our sub keeper is not good enough (Lee Nicholls). He'll probably join a London club but I'd like to see us have a word.

Bradley Dack - To be honest I think he'll go to a top Championship team, like Derby once they do their usual bottling act. Best player I've seen us play this season without a doubt and would be a quality addition to any Championship team.

Also if anyone knows of a top quality right back and centre back let us know thanks. To be fair to them, Caldwell and Sharpe have got it almost spot on in the transfer market since they've been in charge so I'm more than willing to sit back and see what they come up with this summer.

I think most Charlton fans would welcome him back with open arms in L1.

He was a great servant for us in our years down there and with everything going on at the club at the minute he is just the type of player/bloke I'd like to have around, someone who has the club at heart and will give everything for the cause. We could do a lot worse than picking Wagstaff up as a free agent.

Bridcutt - We really ought to get this over the line if we have any serious desire for next season. Seems to like it here and works well with Diagouraga in front of the defence.

Dack or Roofe would be nice. Reckon we'd have been play off contenders if we'd have signed Forestieri - as average as we've been this season, we've been desperate for a creative/goalscoring attacking midfielder.

Some decent centre halves (not sure who), a goalkeeper and a pacy striker.

But we'll sign Dave Scott from Morton FC and Pierluigi Bastardo on loan from Chievo.

I know we're down, but there's a few out of contract and out of favour Championship players that would potentially be targets.
Kieran Agard - Now we know the type of striker we need up here it makes sense to get one in next season and blood them early, considering he's out of favour with Bristol City it makes sense to have a look
Rob Hall - We have to sign him, he's out for a while but he's been one of our best players this year, he loves being back home and in League 1 he was phenomenal for us, out of contract too I believe
Jake Forster-Caskey - Unlikely one as I don't think he will come to us in league 1, but he has been our best player this season and if Brighton go up I can't see him being on their radar at all
Adam Chicksen - More personal than likely, as he left as he wasn't guarenteed football but with Lewington getting older and him not making waves in the Championship I wouldn't mind bringing him home
And one that's more wish than likely...
Will Grigg - I'm going to pray every morning and night that Wigan sign some class strikers and decide to let him go, we'll be first in the queue if that happens

He isn't particularly good in League One either.

He was fairly good for us, he just refused to play second fiddle to Lewie and we played him out of position. Unlikely but there aren't any likely championship players that would actually benefit us, we'll mainly pick loans from the prem and cheap players that can benefit us from league 1 and 2

He fell out with people there around the time he left and kicked off for being benched.

It's what Lee Tomlin does.

To be fair when he came here I knew he was a c*** and said as much, but I feel bad for saying that now because his attitude has been absolutely top class. No problems caused in the dressing room, plays where the manager tells him to with no issues (often left wing), and has a greater link and affinity with our fans than any of our contracted players. Really love the bloke, if it means the odd tantrum to have him here then so be it.

We need a striker who can score goals, and a winger who can cross.

Problem is that I don't think we could afford much from this country so have to risk going abroad, which we haven't been so good at recently.

Considering the amount he scored in league one last season I'd expect maybe £500,000 to £750,000 to get us to sell Agard, reckon a team in league one would at least pay that to get him if he were available.

Ryan Fraser. Wishful thinking but another loan might be possible.

Liam Feeney. I expect this to happen, would happy with him joining permanently.

Johann Berg Gudmondsson. Looked Charlton's best player when I've seen them, might be available on the cheap.

George Moncur. We've been linked in the past, it would be nice to have someone in midfield who knows how to score a goal.

A young, attacking right back, probably from the lower leagues. Basically Aaron Cresswell but on the other side.

He's our best player and has 3 years left on his contract so shouldn't be available on the cheap however, we're now in L1 and run by fucking morons so you'd probably get him for next to nothing.

Wolves were rumoured to be after him last summer so wouldn't be surprised if their name crops up again. Some PL teams will probably come sniffing too if he has a decent tournament in France.

Fernando Foresteri...just kidding. The problem with this is I would make this list around what I think we need to make the playoffs, were as I don't know what the board wants. They seem happy with the 12th to 15th we have seemed destined for since before xmas. we need a keeper, leftback, and two new wingers ideally.

We don't need a striker whilst we have goal machine Siguardsson.

I can see a club like QPR or Wolves going in for Adam Reach, he won't get a sniff at Boro but I think they will want well over a million for him, regardless. He's decent but wouldn't want us to fork out big money for him personally, especially when he would be wasted at wingback every other week.

Is he a winger? Heard he's a decent player but we already have 7-8 wingers at the club. Doubt we will spend 1m either

Predominantly yes but he's a utility man, right or left wing, behind the striker or wingback.

Think QPR were linked with him back in January before we extended his loan.

£200k would probably do it. One year left on his deal, clearly not in LJ's plans and will want to leave.

Not a big squad, until we add players I think we would hold out for more, he's a proven quality in league one and could interest a few teams which could drive his price up, £200,000 would be settling for too little.

Been told Ben Marshall wants out from Blackburn in the summer as he doesn't see the club going anywhere. Would be good seeing him down the gate and its a position we need to strengthen anyway.

Surely you'd have other targets when you get into the Prem

For a year on his contract? Come off it, £300k max considering he's hardly featured this year either and that's being generous, like JJH said he's not wanted, you won't be too reluctant to let him go for that

We have all of about 14 players contracted beyond this season, if we bring in more then yes maybe he'd go for less but in the mean time I can't see us being happy to let players go for low amounts.

Player I was going to mention. Would be a quality addition for most teams in this league.
