Fair play, me neither, hope you enjoyed the day,
This forum, however, does not. And whilst I may ally with some who say Fylde and especially Salford have fiscally powered their way to promotion. I also see football as a game, and business, that promotes and rewards that value top down (why some have dropped down the tapdoor into the abyss and in Wrexham's case, a seemingly endless pergatory) But some bitter old coots will throw any mud about, we finished above the old combover boys but that was because we were cheating, rugby playing and now bankrolled tinpotters. So Sod em their time is past, i supported a club that was communal not finance and prestige based and there will always be a few that do the whole we are the bigger club and they 'cheated/parked the bus/ didnt play football' lot that only serve to promote the billionaire mentality.

Combover boys publish accounts to prove spending or be ok with the reality of underperformance,

If you’ve always been a Solihoof fan, how come you’ve only suddenly appeared on here since they’ve been doing well?

Deliberately gave this one a swerve yesterday. Can't believe the crowd, absolutely pathetic. Thought there'd be enough Blackpool/Man Utd hangers on who'd bump the crowd up to 5 figures at least.

State of them two clubs that they can't even attract glory hunters.

There are very few positives to come out of any winner in this but the only thing for the rest of us is we don't have to worry about Salford next season. Fylde'll be up there again, however. Will they hang on to Rowe, or even Dave Challinor?

I dont think we'll keep Rowe soup. He's been really poor last 7 or 8 games. I dont think he wants to be here and I dont blame him. He's done more than enough for us and I think he deserves a crack in the football league. I'm well connected to somebody at our club and he's told me Rowe wants out. As for our manager, he wont be going anywhere.

We have shit support make no mistake about it but many were put off by the prices and the fact that we're next Sunday

The prices are a farce, and the charges on top of the tickets are an utter piss take. My favourite is the £1 they charge you to allow you to print your own ticket. Conmen.

I know it makes you laugh doesnt it. They just milk you dry. As soon we knew the prices of tickets many fylde fans were posting on Twitter there was no way they were paying 36/41 for a ticket and 35 pound coach ticket when tickets are cheaper and coach is a tenner for the trophy final next week. There was no way I was going to miss the biggest game in our clubs history and I'm there this Sunday as well but not everybody can afford it. We'll have more there for the trophy final

Who sets the prices? Is it the clubs, Wembley or the National League?

If your club was hoping to get promoted to the league for the first time in decades (Let alone in their 12-year-history), you'd pay £100, surely?! That excuse is bollocks. It's cos there were no freebies for BAE employees and school kids.

Finding excuses not to go to Wembley for the most important game in a club's history is severely tinpot. Basically a tinpot apotheosis.

Weren't there 19,500 at Wembley for Kirkham & Wesham vs. Lowestoft Town in the FA Vase final? Basically they've gone backwards as Flyde, sub-amateur crowds.

I thought Fylde were supported by the main proponents of fracking in the UK as well as having a Brexiter chairman who has put a portrait of Margaret Hecate Thatcher in the boardroom. They’re also supported by the dealers of death in Yemen too? What delightful club...

And an accountant who spunked the budget on a stripper and a paedo youth coach.
Not bitter.

What's the tea about their Saudi links and paedo coach? Haven't heard about those two.

No, more that BAE have made squillions from exporting their weapon systems to KSA, where no doubt they have been used in Yemen.

Ellis Hawksworth was the coach who's banned from working with kids.

They used to play in my mate's amateur league, and then this absolute prick Haythornethwaite pumped in millions. The fact they are owned by "Tangerine Holdings" tells you all you need to know about his true motives.

We were also called the Magpies until the mid-50's when we changed our colours. Pretty standard for any side wearing black & white.

Don't be jealous because you're not in one.

Unless we have an absolute shitholes league with yourselves, Dover and Boreham Wood making up the numbers.

The amount of general ignorance about Salford from big 6 fans is ridiculous. Apparently we should all be really thankful for the class of 92 because non-league clubs would "go bust" without this level of investment, and supporters of clubs that actually live within their means but don't like Salford are "entitled".

NOTHING, short of being on life support in a hospital bed, puts a REAL fan off watching his team in a final at Wembley. You find the money and worry about the consequences later. The standard model at this level is that clubs will typically take numbers that are 5 or 6 times and more than their average home attendance. If it had been Blackpool you know and I know and so does everybody else here, those same "fans" would have been there. On this evidence, your club has no sustainable future, once Wallet Man decides he's spent enough of his money on his hobby. :£:£:£

We were also called The Magpies from 1911, when we played in black and white stripes, until moving to The Shay to play in the Football League, by which time we had switched to blue and white. We have been The Shaymen ever since. Thanks for asking. :ds:

"No, we are The Magpies"

Yup, no issues with traditional non league sides who go about things the right way. Fair play to 'em. And they actually have some fans.

Having first encountered them in First Division Unibond North in 2008/9, they've had a quite amazing transformation. At that time they were getting 150 for home games, and had practically zero away support. Their ground though, gave ample evidence that they must have at one time been a decent and succesful non league outfit. As we moved up and out of that division, Chester dropped into it. Then something started to happen. A local rivalry, much resented and denied by Chester, kicked in and the fans started to turn out, especially for the 2 derby matches. By the end of that season Chorley were drawing 1000+ for home games and they've never looked back. It's been great to see a club progressing in the old fashioned and proper way, on a solid fan base. They've gone close to getting here a few times in recent seasons and will be all the stronger for it. Welcome Chorley, you've earned your place here and unlike many we could name, are fully worthy of it.
