Anyway, back to talking about playoffs.

I've got a ticket and I can't wait. Im not expecting us to win, but as long as we dont embarrass ourselves. If it ends up with penalties like the Europa final last night, i dont think i would cope!!!

Just don't sign De Gea if you need an emergency loan.

I see the championship final ticket allocation has been increased, any news if they’re doing the same for the others?

Yeah just the championship. We had a few left that were sold to season ticket holders from 19/20 last night so we're all sold out.

Going to be driving as train travel is tricky due to engineering works (and expensive!) and so is coach travel. Least with restricted capacity should get a spot nearish to the stadium.

Any other Lincoln fans going from here?

Got my ticket for the game, sort of feels similar to the build up to the Bournemouth final, hopefully there will be a different outcome!

Didn’t go to the play off game at SB, not going to Wembley either, will be watching on the telly though.

Blackpool don't need them.

I didn't bother trying to get one, mostly because of the Wembley's random nature of seat allocations this year and what will be a lack of a decent matchday experience. Had I not been to the Cup Final a couple of years ago I'd have gone.

Good luck to the 2 teams this weekend. Blackpool were the best team I saw in the league this season and have 3 ex STFC players in Yates, Ballard and Anderson so I'm tipping them to win.

For those that have tickets, enjoy the day out. Won't quite be the same as normal but just to see live football again is a blessing.

Imps team news: Adam Jackson and James Jones are ruled out. Our three remaining Centre Backs: Eyoma, Montsma and Walsh are all rated 50/50. Bit worrying but we may well use the 50/50 centre halves throughout the match, well there's no other option.

I've a sneaky feeling all will be available...

I can fully understand Walsh being 50/50 - he's in a permanent state of it!

I was going to say I suspect team news like that just before a huge match isn’t normally very reliable...

True, but centre half has been a problem area for the majority of the season. I suspect Eyoma and Walsh will play, Montsma on the bench.

Really looking forward to this game. I like Neil Critchley and, before he left us for Liverpool a few years ago, was touted as a future manager for us. With an excellent coaching reputation, he was bound to get an opportunity in league football and he's grasped it with both hands.

But the Lincoln story really is phenomenal, and to see them in the Championship would be surreal. I wouldn't begrudge either side going up but I'd love to see Lincoln have a go at the Championship. I'd fancy Blackpool for the League One title next season if they lost today anyway whereas I can't help but think Lincoln may regress slightly next season should they lose today...

Agree with that. Our loan signings have played a massive part, and with Ipswich & Pompey getting their act together maybe, alongside Blackpool, Sunderland, Oxford, Wednesday, Rotherham, Wycombe - its going to be mighty tough to repeat. Just hope we do ourselves proud. Leaving in 15!

Apparently no team has gone from the national league to the championship in 5 seasons

Doncaster the quickest to do it but I think they took an extra season. Yeovil had a chance to do it in the same span you did but lost the playoff final to...

...Blackpool!

Any Lincoln fans watching in town? Currently sat in tower bar at the university and lots of city fans warming up for it

I was saying a similar thing on our forum yesterday.

Whilst I don't think this will be our only chance, it presents our best chance. Next season the likes of Ipswich, Portsmouth, Charlton etc will get their act together, plus Wednesday and Rotherham coming down.

Trying to replace Brennan Johnson will be difficult, nigh on impossible, likewise Morgan Rogers. They'll be interest in Jorge Grant (and I'd be amazed if he didn't have a non-promotion release clause in his new deal) and Lewis Montsma.

Thankfully we have a decent core of a squad who've got two or three years left on deals who we won't have to sell and we'll have enough room for manoeuvre in the summer. Crucially, though, there aren't too many others you'd want in that position other than Appleton if you're trying to replace the above.

So in Recent seasons Luton, Rotherham, Doncaster and maybe Lincoln have gone from non league to the championship in 5 seasons.
Yet supporters from those clubs are saying Bolton cannot go from Lge 2 to mid table in league 1
I thought the was some clueless fuckers in lge 2 but it seems lge 1 supporters are surpassing themselves
