Friday 8th May:
Brentford v Middlesbrough
Saturday 9th May:
Ipswich v Norwich
Friday 15th May:
Middlesbrough v Brentford
Saturday 16th May:
Norwich v Ipswich

(Evening kickoffs are 7.45, Saturday kickoffs are 12.15)

Monday 25th May:
Winner SF1 v Winner SF2 (3pm)

Should be very interesting as a neutral, Brentford have the momentum and confidence after sneaking in on the final day against a Middlesbrough side who are in decent form but have struggled in the bigger games recently - Middlesbrough win

Everyone knows that form is thrown out of the window in the play-offs but who knows what will happen with the added complication of the derby? They both go into it with similar form from the last 10 games but with Norwich having been 8 points stronger across the 46 games - Norwich win

Final - Pure guesswork but Norwich win.

I'd prefer Norwich to go up, they have the best squad and most financial clout out of the four.

Ecstatic to be in them, also understand we need to be at our best to win them. Gunna try and enjoy it.:dk:

Sad day when that's something that's considered when deciding who you want in the Prem.

Very sad but looking at us and our chances for next season the weaker the division the better.

On our day we can take anyone, we just have go take our chances when they come, something we haven't been so good at of late, the last couple of games as an exception.

Can see us winning at GP, Boro's last couple of results haven't been good, while we seem to have turned a corner. It'll be a good atmosphere as a night game, and I'm backing us to win.

Boro will probably stand a good chance at turning it around in the return leg, wouldn't back against Extra Time.

Are we the only one of the 4 teams never to go up through play offs? Our record is pretty terrible.

We've gone up before, but our record is by NO MEANS pretty. :sur:

I'm not that bothered about winning the play-offs tbh, I just pray we don't lose to Town. Would never hear the end of it, absolute nightmare. Also, wouldn't mind getting the chance to see Norwich at Wembley.

Given their antics at Carrow Road, I'm loath to wish Middlesbrough any kind of success. Brentford played us off the park when they came here so I'd probably favour them to go up - still not sure I understand what's going on with them and Warburton though.

Looking forward to El Tractico, personally hope the winner comes from that game.

Norwich showed incredible humility when we beat them in the Play Offs in 2002, from then I've generally wished them well. I like Ipswich for the pure traditionalism, seems a good old fashioned club with an old fashioned stadium and have always found them very welcoming, my lad's first ever away game was Ipswich, they were good as gold with him.

So yeah, Norwich or Ipswich for me :bravo:

I want rid of Norwich. If (and it's a big if) we can muster another challenge next season, then I want them out of the way.

I'd like Ipswich to go up mainly because they deserve some success after being in this division for so long. Also cant beat a good MM interview on MOTD.

If not hope to see Brentford go up just because they've been so impressive this season.

Full article explains how it was done... still speculative, though.
Yeah, hadn't read the article, now have. Much as I like being plucky little tin-pot Brentford, we've been one of the best footballing sides in this division, and their stance annoys me somewhat.

They were very lucky to leave with anything last time we played them. Hopefully they underestimate us again and we absolutely bury them.

You should have beaten Boro at your place.Poor finishing let you down that day.Have to say apart from Bournemouth Brentford were probably the best side i saw against us this season.Stating the obvious but if you win the first leg you have a great chance as i can see you easily scoring up there.

Mate, if the rest of the division repeat the millers mistake of fielding ineligible players at least 6 times each then you may have a chance
:))

Seriously though, the division will be no weaker next year.
Wednesday's chance rests on whether it's fresh or frozen prawns in next years bowl of Tom Yam.

as a neutral, would like to see Brentford go up. They have kicked on from last year, we did the double over them last year, they did us this year.
Would leave us as the top tin potter
In the division too ( regardless of chesterfield fortunes ) :))

True but I'm confident we will be in the market this year not just stood outside looking at folks going in.

Of course until it's all decided with promotion and relegation it's hard to say if the division would be weaker or stronger.

Pesronally, I'd like the winner of Boro v Brentford to go up. Be an incredible achievement for Brentford, but I'd love Adomah to get the chance to play in the Premier League.

I can Brentford winning at home, but I think Middlesbrough will be too strong over two legs.

I'd say the same for Ipswich against Norwich too. I've got pretty low expectations, I wouldn't be too disappointed if we win on Saturday but lose the tie.

Boro to beat Norwich in the final.

Want Brentford to go up. They are like the MultiYork of football, the Hobbs, the Richard Hammond, the Alan Titchmarsh, the shooting-stick with leatherette grips, the National Trust free parking sticker in a Honda Jazz. They're the upmarket QPR. You can GiftAid it when you pay on the gate. They probably still do quarter oranges at half time and sell rattles and American hard gums in the club shop.

And American TV announcers on PBS will call them Brent-FORD. And no-one knows where the fuck the ground is but everyone's seen it from the left side of a plane landing at Heathrow and said...."Ohhhh Brentford's ground is impressive. No wait. Is that Twickenham?" And away team coaches will get lost around Hanger Lane for days on end, and wonder who the fuck would live anywhere alongside the A40.

Then Brentford will kick on to get a spot in Europe and the team will be able to walk to the airport, and then they'll return to west London with a big trophy, a Portuguese manager, have Oxfam as shirt sponsors, be David Cameron's new bestie football club and they'll be Tweeting "Who the fuck are Fulham?"

Decent game but both goals down to poor defending.

Brentford 1-2 Middlesbrough. Can't see Brentford winning from that position, Boro are just too good at home to throw away that lead.

So undeserved that for Brentford last night - was a real smash and grab from Boro.

Second leg is poised perfectly for the neutral though, because Brentford will have to come out all guns blazing!

Hoping for Norwich to go up - mainly because we get some extra cash for the Louis Thompson transfer!
