I love these types of well-reasoned comments on fan forums:

'what a fucking horrible team gillingham were. From the opening minute with the late challenge almost snapping laird in two they kicked the living shit out of us. The ref was a total pussy and gave us no protection. Yes Garner didn't help with his relentless cheating but the ref had no control of the game at all and gills were allowed to play the most disgusting football we've seen this season.

Glad I don't have to watch that shit week in week out.'

Bless!

You do have a few dirty c*** at the back but i've seen worse this season.

One definite red should have been handed out and there were good grounds for a second a few minutes later when one of your players went through the back of Humphrey or Garner I think it was, near the Finney stand. The referee was disgustingly bad, his assistant to my left wasn't much better either.

It makes me laugh whenever I see these posts emerge moments after the full time whistle. I'm not sure I've ever been angry enough to think 'The internet needs to know this NOW' after a game.

Well, PNE Online is littered with shit-eating spastics so I wouldn't really concern yourself

The Gills stuffed us 3-0 at home recently and were terrific.

No noticeable rough stuff then. Maybe you are a bit precious

Maybe, last night's game was different to the one played at your place?

Back then? It appeared you had gone into hiding after Bristol city wiped the floor with you.

Excellent result for us. Best thing was proving (for the 2nd game running) that we can compete to the end against very good teams who were desperate for the points themselves.

Our form since January bodes well for next season if we can keep this lot together with a couple of quality additions.
Might just surprise a few people.

Good luck PNE. Wouldn't mind you keeping hold of 2nd.

And yet here we are still right up yer arse.

Should be a fun-filled few weeks!

For the first time for a long time I actually don't mind hearing fans saying our side were 'over physical'.
We have had a very young and fairly small side all season and we have been bullied out of games many, many times this season by more experienced and physical players.
Seems like Edinburgh may be instilling a bit of steel into them which has been slightly missing.

Indeed, looking forward to it.

Still ours to lose as it stands.

Yep. You're still favs. Hope one of us doesn't bomb out on goal difference.

Bummer.

Just seen the goals - PNE's second looks potentially offside in the build up, and the defending was poor to allow Robinson to go so far. As for the assist for our second - bloody hell!

Pritchard has class, he just needs to stay uninjured and get an extended run in the side.

Agreed, I love the way he plays. I think he and Aaron Morris will be big parts of our midfield next season - should they both stay fit. A midfield 4 with those two, Dack and Loft offers energy, creativity and excellent technical ability all round. We'd then have McGlashan to use as a sub, where I think he's most effective.

Beckford's goal was a quality team move.

Cracking header to equalize at the end there as well.

I honestly might go as far as to say that the cross for our equaliser is one of the best crosses I've ever seen. On the bounce from near the halfway line and he puts it on a sixpence for Leon Legge, incredible.

Lovely move and finish for Preston's first goal too.

On the topic of red cards Radio Kent seemed to think that someone might be in big trouble when they went through the back of a Preston player but I also think they said we had a stonewall penalty for a foul on McGlashan turned down. That said, they do often talk via their rectums so I'm not sure how true any of that is.

Aye, my first thoughts on that tackle was that it was a red card, no question and was amazed that he only received a yellow. I'm yet to see a replay though.

Not sure which penalty shout they're referring too, maybe the last-ditch Bailey Wright tackle in the first half? some Gills players claimed for it but it looked a good tackle to me and it was pretty much in front of me.

It was a great cross, was a bit too pissed off to give it any credit at the time though.

I just a watched the player highlights and there weren't any dodgy tackles in there so I don't think we'll get a chance to see any unfortunately.
