A question PNE fans if you don't mind. Why haven't the club finished the stand to the left of the away end? I assume it's a second row of boxes which will go in there at some time but it does spoil the look of that particular stand?
Nice ground is Deepdale.

Not quite sure why, Ill find out though. Im glad that the club didnt decide to move to a new bowl style ground, not really into modern stadiums but deepdale has been redeveloped well. I presume ashton gate is being developed in a similar fashion?

It appears to be. On of the things our support asked of the owner, once redevelopment was confirmed, was that we didn't end up with a generic bowl. While 3 of the stands are joined, they are all different and the corners are being utilised as corporate areas to 'break up' the bowl effect.
I do like Deepdale, it's a cracking ground but the missing row of boxes do make you feel that stand isn't quite finished WTGR.

I would think it has been put on hold due to our relegation to league one and lower crowds etc. The fans had a bit of a campaign to cover the gaps with fans flags but it seems to have been shelved.
Its a good ground ashton gate, similar to deepdale with the park outside etc.
Had some great times when a friend moved to Bedminster, a pint in the scream bar, through the graveyard, over the river to the louisiana, round the docks and finish up at the Thekla.. Great stop off when going to glastonbury as well.

Nice ground is Deepdale.

It's a space for increased capacity, but we were relegated not long after the Invincibles was 'finished' - so there wasn't any immediate need for it.

He has had his critics, (not from me might I add), but he has worked wonders in my opinion. Brought some fantastic players in, seems a nice guy as well, no BS, very modest and obviously hard working. Some fans actually wanted him out a few months ago but thats modern football for you.

Yeah always found it a bit odd but sometimes it's a lot different looking from the outside in.

He did really well here and didn't get what he deserved from upstairs and would love him back one day. He's definitely a top guy to boot too so fingers crossed he can do it in the Championship for you too - now he's closing in on an excellent record in L1. Would have got us back-to-back promotions if Bates had given him money for a defender or two in the January we ended up fading into 7th. We were in the top 2 just before Christmas but didn't kick on.

Hope he finishes the job off for you.

Another question fellas.
After we sang the 'stand up if you're top of the league' chant, your whole support replied with a song that sounded the same but were all applauding. I wasn't sure if you were congratulating us or singing for your own boys. If it was the former, that was utter class!
It was a bit surreal TBH as I don't think any of our support were quite sure what you were getting at.

Pity we didn't know bout that Tom. I have no doubt we would have joined in paying tribute to Sir Tom.
Thanks for clearing it up.
Wasn't a planned thing, they seem to sing it every week. Without meaning to sound disrespectful, it's getting a bit old now. I didn't mourn my Grandad this long.

Haha a Preston fan on our forum said you were singing 'Stand up for top of the league'. I thought that seemed really strange, despite the love in between the two sets of fans. He was obviously singing the wrong thing

Agreed, although I think it was his birthday the other day

I really want Preston to fuck it up! It would be great after you lot have been wanking each other off about goi g up.

I couldn't give a toss about Bristol City and I suspect the vast majority of PNE fans feel the same.

I couldn't give a toss about PNE. Just dislike them less than Swindon (Dan turned up yet?) and MK (media no budget whore Karl Robinson)

My love is directed more at the city of Bristol rather than Bristol City FC.
I think the club isnt a bad one though, good ground, nice away trip..
Who can forgot the promotion party we we had down there under Moyes, we were made to feel more than welcome. I do like a few pints of scrumpy as well..

Only reason I like Preston a bit more than the others is because I go to uni is Preston so have some mates from uni who support them etc, but even so when you see MK and Swindon in 3rd and 4th I'd back whoever it was in 2nd place (barring Rovers and Cardiff....)
