Could be a good game this and I am gutted to be not going to this one. It will be a great testament to our squad this year if by 5pm on Saturday we sit above the divisions favourites however i can't see this being the case and feel in reality we will snatch a point or come home empty handed.

2-2 draw.

Just realised Pompey have only won twice at home. Hope we can go and get a point at least but it will be tough. I imagine Judas Cook will want to get one over on us as well.

Really can't see us getting anything from this, but our away form has been pretty impressive this season.

Think we might lose 2-1.

I'd take a 0-0 or 1-1 right now , I'm not holding my breath for the 3 points but it'd be the result of the season for us with the unsettled side ATM , but I'm sure the lads are full of confidence and don't fear anyone COYS

Bit early to be hoping for a draw in a game you ain't involved in.

Would be happy with a draw maybe Westcarr can go back to Pompey and haunt them.

We can't win at home. Just two wins and that was against Dagenham and Barnet, hardly decent opposition.

Smart money is on yet another draw with Westcarr scoring for them just to rub it in.

Their home record is pretty similar to ours with the draws.

It'll be a big test for us, but it's something we can go into knowing we can pull it off. Not convinced by those that say cook is a great manager - the budget he had at Chesterfield was ridiculous, and Portsmouth again will be up there on the budget front - though you've still got to convert it into promotion I guess.

We usually get a draw down there, no reason to see why we can't again

We not win today, my money is on a draw but a defeat would not suprise me.

Just don't feel confident.

Stags win 2-1

Be confident Mansfield fans, we're a very good away side.

If we could get something at Portsmouth I reckon they'll be a pretty decent gate next week against Wycombe. It really would give us a boost

Be good, if we continue with decent football and results we have a real chance to bring back a big amount of fans that have vanished over many years.

I'm gutted to be missing the match. This has 1-1 written all over it for me.

Me too, I've still never been.

Was going to go today when the fixtures came out, but keen on the rugby semi finals as well, which shamefully swayed me

Ridiculously average. Last season it was 1.6m, which was increased to 1.8m following a few player sales, but even at 1.8m that was only 14th highest in the league. He'll have a lot more to play with now at Pompey I'd have thought

It's ridiculous that Chesterfield only had a average budget in L1.

I've listened to most of the game and it sounds like Pompey have dominated all game and deserve to win this.

Hopefully we can get a point!

0-0 draw.

Sounded like we didn't play very well, and Portsmouth made the better of the game. We're made of better stuff this term.

To go down there and hold out was impressive. We always draw at Portsmouth.

Our defence sounded immense, maybe we really do have something about us this season

The way Murray sounded before the game we were always going to set out to draw. Good point and sounded like we were better coming out of the second half however Pompey soon turned it up. Good that we defended well. On to Wycombe.

Not particually happy tonight after 3 draws at home in a row. For me we put the wrong team out. Should have started Tubbs and Chaplin who have been scoring goals recently. Why we went for Doyle and Holland in midfield doesn't make much sense either seeing as there both defensive players. Nowhere near enough urgency to score against another team who offered nothing to the game.

We desperately need a target man up top or this will just continue.

Thought I'd visit this thread for obvious reasons, but I'm left a little bewildered by it.

Firstly, why would Cook want to get one over Mansfield? He beat them with a third team on his way to a Wembley final and saw them as just another outfit that finished below his own when winning the division that season. And I doubt he even thought about such League Two strugglers whilst reaching the League One Play Offs last Spring. Other than pinching Sam Clucas from them for a nominal fee, of course.

And our budget 'ridiculous'? Well I seem to remember Staglets bragging that Radford was outspending us a couple of years ago, then queueing up to predict our demise when our Chairman implemented financial limitations following promotion. Our budget befits a club of our size, thanks very much; congratulations to our little neighbours for performing way beyond a club of their size might be expected to.

What was the point about cook? My phone died out of boredom....

Just before it died of boredom, it realised Chesterfield didn't score against us in 2 league games. It then confirmed they were inbreds.
