Team were boo'd off at the final whistle against the Dons in our last game at Fratton after countless successive uninspiring league draws, as the locals begin to get restless.
If and when things click, we're due to give someone a thumping. A scrappy 1-0 would do it to help to lift the negativity and hopefully get our season back on track.
Credit to any York fans making their way down for this one.
All York fans are dieing to see a victory away this season...or just a victory would be nice!. Unfortunately I don't think it's likely we will be seeing one tonight.
Portsmouth look to be stuck in a slightly dodgy spell and I'm sure will be looking to take advantage of our fair to say horrendous form right now.
Oliver continues to provide a few goals for us lately and looks in good shape however defensively York have been very poor, conseeding 10 goals in the last 4 games. I think we will score tonight however can't see us holding onto a lead or a cleansheet. As ever I wish the players best of luck. I'm looking towards a positive mindset for this one. Safe journey for the travelling fan! Tuesday night game at Portsmouth will never be eazy.
1-1 for me.
I'd be delighted with a draw. As mentioned, we are likely to score but even likelier to concede. Would have been down for this one but the powers that be give us a 500 mile round trip on a Tuesday night.
The decision to give Wilcox all the games against "easier" opposition before getting a new guy in with the run of fixtures we have is exactly why we are where we are. He should have gone weeks before he did, given the new guy some games that were at least winnable to get some form going.
We were given a helping hand after York went down to ten men but even if they still had eleven we still probably would have had a few. Things are starting to click for us now, it seems.
York were dreadful though and I'd be surprised if they survived this season.
Well I didn't expect that.. But I'm not surprised. Portsmouth opened up our defensive frailties with eaze and made York players look like children on the play ground. I was ready for the loss but not a demolition.
It's what all York fans have seen for weeks, months even. Our wings continue to look confused, empty and disjointed. And pompey took full advantage of that. I'm seriously considering non-leauge football next season if we do not make major changes in the January transfers month. Our next few games are must wins, roll on Saturday. Well done pompey they were clinical tonight but dont forget not all clubs defend like we do!
If we had scored in the first half we'd have won 15-0. Despite conceeding 6 goals their keeper had a good game. Although the time wasting was ridicolous. Should have been booked early on.
Not overly surprised, I seemed to be in the minority last night at thinking it was a stupid thing to do. The time wasting was an absolute farce and was evident within the first 5 minutes. Yet the referee didn't take any action other than a word.
