I'm expecting a good match from Exeter tonight, in the 2 previous games at Fratton it's been decided by the a huge gust of wind, a dodgy penalty and a last minute winner.

Gutted I won't be there tonight as got to work. Any Exeter fans making the trip?

Not going but expect a fair number to make the trip.

Not sure what to expect from us really. We have so many options to pick for a front three, which may be a hindrance as we don't seem to have a settled front line. Hope Lee Holmes is up for it against his former club and praying Harley is fit as we've missed him the last two games.

Pompey seem to be better away from home so I am hoping for at least a point. However, if Roberts, Tubbs, Evans etc are on form we will struggle especially if Woodman starts.

Tentative 1-1 prediction

Well well, what a win. We did well on the break but sounded like Pompey had a lot of possession and a number of chances.

To be fair though we had no Harley and Noble went off injured at HT, with Butterfield filling in well.

Wheeler's goal sounded a beauty. On to Newport now!

On another day we win that game comfortably. Just wasn't our night, we were punished for a mistake and just couldn't score until it was too late. Exeter defended like lions when it mattered.

We'll play worse than that this season and win. Hopefully this is just a minor setback.

From reading our forum a few people have mentioned that despite winning Exeter didn't time waste etc so fair play to you on that.

Cheers! Nice that it is noticed!! Tisdale often goes on record about this topic, some of our fans think we should employ more "gamesmanship" but Tisdale strongly disagrees and tries to get his team playing the game the way he believes it should be played.

Feel a bit for you guys... Always sad to lose when your team has such dominant possession.
