Well, if you got a telly you've all seen how we're playing at the moment. Shambolic in a word. A lot of us are wondering when Ronnie's actually going to put his best team on the pitch. Hopefully on Saturday. We've got Kal Naismith back available so that's a plus but unless there's an extended round of arsekicking and a serious swap around in midfield this week we'll be in trouble.

But, hope springs eternal, we were a different team against Oxford before the last two debacles so I'm going to go 1-1.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one .....This has 1 0 win to us written all over it .... followed by intotheblue Hartlepool going into overdrive regarding a play off push .... I'm basing this on Plymouth being a long way on a drab winters day

based on last night, your midfield is the problem. Is Gray actually a midfielder? To me he looks more suited to playing up front or in a wide area. Your 2 midfielders were totally over run and outbattled by Salfords last night. Either Moore has to put an extra man in there and go to a 4-5-1, or he needs to change the personnel of the 2.

No he's not, much more of a number 10 or trequarista type. Three man midfield should be the only way to go with what we have and it could work with who we have. Unfortunately the three up top, 451 hasn't worked either because we have no one with movement/presence to play as lone striker. We don't even have proper wingers either. God I could throttle Ronnie Moore. Totally imbalanced squad. We have a couple of attacking full backs who can overlap but Duckworth is severely lacking belief after public slatings from Moore and we also have Jake Carroll who gets forward and back in random nonsensical spurts, but he also suffers from the lack of ability to pass, defend and mark.

Moore has made a total mess of this season.

Trequarista?

Are you sure you're from Hartlepool?

Everyone & his dogs can see that but Moore.I think it's him who has pickled onions for eyes.
Two of our better players & we haven't many are out on Saturday.Another defeat looms.

Duckworth won't be playing on Saturday, no doubt King Ronnie will put Magnay in there (or even worse, Harrison) and ensure a heavy defeat.

Personally, I would play some form of 5-4-1 formation and hold out for a 0-0, it's the only hope we have.

Carson
Richards Jackson Jones Bates Carroll
Oates Magnay Hawkins Naismith
Bingham

Send Walker, Harrison, Gray and Mandron down to the rec to play with players of their own ability.

Hawkins should be back at the club, another stupid decision by Moore.
Feel sorry for Grey, good prospect, but has been dragged down by the shyte around him.He needs to return to Palace sharpish
Add Bingham & the crab to the Rec.

Where is Hawkins like? Didn't realise he wasn't at the club!
I don't think Gray is anywhere near good enough to be a central midfielder personally. He touches the ball less than Anthony Sweeney did. Has a habit of finding a way of being marked at all times. I would think he would be more effective out wide.
Who is the crab :fl:
Poor man management again from Moore with Bingham for me. Assisted pretty much every goal we scored for the first 3 months, then he gets dropped. He is our only outlet. The only player who puts pressure on defences. The only one who is able to have a defence turn and face their own goal. Despite Moore/Collins coaching any first touch ability he had out of him, he would still be one of the first names on my team sheet.

3 points to Argyle in a smash and grab win. We needed those 3 points going into the Christmas fixtures

Have you got a couple of key players injured or something Pilgrim? You certainly weren't the force I was expecting to show up. Your centre forward was probably the best player on the pitch IMO, but you have a couple of players who wouldn't look out of place in our team. Peter Hartley being one - I am baffled how any team can be defensively sound with him at the heart of it. He is a disaster waiting to happen. Your right back too, looked rather clumsy (although he did score the second if I remember right).

It's painful to know that with a manager with even half a tactical brain, we really could be challenging up the top. That really was the only difference between the two sides.

Fair play to Hartley,it was a cracking save in the 1st half.Plus they didn't have a defence which gifts the opposition goals.
