bit rich to have a go at Vale fans after your numpties in the corner. Cov will blow a play off place.Armstrong is a shadow. embarrasing a club of such stature constantly time wasting and rolling about on the floor. Maddison will fit in well in the Premier the mincing diving twat. see you next season.

Back. Still at a loss to explain how we didn't win that! Keeper was awful at the Ricoh but was sublime today and had the save from the deflected free kick been in Prem or Champions league it would be played over and over again one of the best saves I've seen!

First half we gave Coventry a footballing lesson and chance after chance came and went without reward. They get a break away goal and then sat deeper second half which meant we had to be patient but when it came from Kelly it really came! Goal of the season contender, ran with the ball turned back then back again and unleashed one! I was about to moan at him for shooting there but then the net bulged and a slice of justice was done.

Game was like the Donny home performance and id missed us playing like that since! We must get Kennedy signed up until the end of the season as he was immense today! How on earth their number 18 didn't get booked the amount of times he was torn a new arsehole and fouled him on top of his extreme time wasting from throw ins.

Overall disappointing draw but put that level in week in week out then there's a good chance to challenge for the play off spots.

There were roomers going around that a vale fan was stabbed and died but our chairman Norman said its untrue.
That's what I'd heard, glad to hear it was false. Pretty sad person whoever started this rumour.

I just don't think our lot want it enough. It could well be down to the large number of loans.

Vale, like many teams we have played in recent months have battled, got stuck in etc. The polar opposite to us.

To the post a few up saying about the diving? I thought it was the other way round. Vale were physical and when they got it back they were straight down.

Maddison and Armstrong were going down very easily, luckily the referee saw through it especially second half but for some reason as with the time wasting (bar Henderson) he failed to get a card out.

Coventry seemed to have no midfield today, was it a three man midfield? If so that's nuts as your just going to get over run week in week out doing that away from home. Grant and Foley had so much space first half to play in and Cov were so narrow the fullbacks were so exposed. The keeper is an odd one though, looked so dodgy at Ricoh then produces a world class performance today!

Murphy really does anger me but he won't be dropped as he is a goal threat, a passenger for 95% of the time and one of the biggest bottlers I have seen in a city shirt.

Unfortunately he is correct. He has a good goal return, but has had some awful games. Today for example exemplified this. He scored a goal but then not only goes missing, but his defensive work-rate is woeful.

Now he has scored a goal, he won't be dropped for a few games.

Why else have we done fuck all for 3 months?
With our squad we should not be getting played off the park.

To be fair Sheffield United, Wigan, Burnley all have come and got played off Vale Park this season. They were less fortunate in all getting beat though.

We've played teams that have played a lot worse than you and they beaten us.

You deserved to win today, no question.

Losing 4 centre backs to injury and replacing them with Peter Ramage.

That is part of the problem, but not all of it. Defence wasn't the problem today and neither was the keeper.

We played far worse Tuesday and won, swings and roundabouts I guess. Last year we'd have lost that 1-0 and luckily Kelly came up with brilliance which was required to get past your keeper today.

Kelly's hardly played all season but scored 3 goals all of which were top drawer!

Might be wrong but as i alluded earlier on in the thread you appeared to come very narrow like a 4-3-3 which on the wide pitch that VP is was a bit nuts from your boss as we got so much space down the flanks it was unreal, mind you a lot of our crosses went straight into the keepers bosom mind!

The midfield was shocking. Fleck is probably our best player but he got ran all over the shop.

Surprised with how poor Coventry were really with the talent they have at their disposal. Maddison, Armstrong and Murphy looked really poor, but I guess those are the sort of players that possess the quality to get something from a game at times. You got battered, but still gained a very good point away from home.

Also, for a big following there wasn't much noise coming from the away end for whatever reason.

In terms of us, ignoring the result, I imagine all Vale fans walked out of the ground today extremely happy with what they saw. That type of performance is what will bring the fans back again. I don't think it's unfair to say that we dominated the game. Just hope that we can carry this on, but knowing Vale, it was probably a one off!

P.s.. Does make me chuckle how we are all chuffed with the performance, however we failed to win which is a pain in the arse!

Praise and Grumble was tugging over it (bear in mind after a win on Tuesday the doom merchants were calling in!) by like Ray Williams says we've done it against the bigger teams at home (and Doncaster) but next week will be the test against struggling Fleetwood, play like that we'd destroy them but can we get that consistency and do it with the crowd and atmosphere less than today. Our overall form is good since the 28th December but we've played more than anyone else so have a lot of work to do to make the top 6, but todays performance gives hope.
