On Friday night as I think Stoke are at home on Saturday.

HUGE game for us, anything less than 3pts and our current position is under serious jeopardy.

Scott Laird and Jermaine Beckford both went off injured on Tuesday and it will be touch and go whether they will be available, I suspect they won't be though. Beckford in particular is a massive loss, easily our main goal threat at present, he's been class. Hopefully Huntington is back, key player.

Looking forward to this one, i'm hoping Joe Garner can carry on his scoring run against these lot (5 in 4) and he has the Port Vale fans throwing shit-fits again.

Possible team:

Johnstone
Clarke, Huntington, Wright, Buchanan
Welsh
Gallagher, Johnson, Robinson
Garner, Davies

Stuckmann, Woods, King, Kilkenny, Humphrey, Little, Ebanks-Blake

Stay at home then.
Seriously debating it, not sure how my mates would take it though.
We simply have to win. Quite worried though if we go 1 down, the whining arses we have probably jumping on the teams back.

Also can anyone clear up why Vale hate Garner? Is it because of that red card?

Pretty much and the fact he dives, which no Port Vale player has ever done, ever.

Him scoring for fun against them doesn't help either.

We won't get the moaning c*** away from home, even if we have a bad first half, it'll be a top atmosphere on Friday night.

Rooting for Preston in this one. Partly cause I want them up with us, but mainly because I want us to win the title after our game sat rather than before!

Tough game but can take heart from the MK performance and PNEs mini wobble of late. Point would do and probably about secure safety with our GD.

In terms of Garner we all know what he does and £22 to watch a grown man throw himself around like a petulant five year old isn't the most thrilling thought but we need to rise above it and focus on our own game. Hopefully we get a strong enough referee to deal with him.

Should be a decent atmosphere, got a feeling we're going to nick it 2-1, no idea why but here's hoping!

Agreed, like the one who sent off Zubar for elbowing him off the ball.

Does one second half count as a 'mini-wobble'?

You've drawn a few allowing other teams back into it = mini wobble.

Garner should have gone for persistent diving long before Zubar decided enough was enough.

But like I said need to make sure we don't get drawn into Garners antics and focus on ourselves.

Second half against Gllingham yes, but I don't count a 1-1 draw against top of the league and a 3-0 win away at Bradford as a wobble.

It will suspend our winning the title for (maybe) 1 day but I'm right behind PNE as I want them to come up with us.
Come on North End!

Garners goal at portvale making Robertson looking a complete clown is still my favourite out of all the ones he's scored for us.

It's not difficult. My six month old could make Robbo look a clown. What I'd give for Ryan Inniss to have not got crocked at Coventry.

Won't be if that's the result. If we win, could be up there with one of my favourite away days. Got the afternoon off work anyway and going out when I'm home so gonna be some drunk postings on here Friday night probably

Going to this one.
My youngest son's new girlfriend is a Vale fan http://www.http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/images/smilies/love.gif (he really needs some fatherly advice about his taste in women!) and he wants to take her to the game.
Unfortunately he is 18 and doesn't drive http://www.http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/images/smilies/epicfail.gif

So since I'm on chauffeuring duties, thought I may as well see the match (I'll be sat in the Lorne Street stand) looks like I'm paying for their tickets too http://www.http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/images/smilies/I'm%20confused.gif

Hoping for some entertainment and some goals, not too bothered who wins.
What are my chances of seeing a good game then?

Can only echo my fellow city fans sentiments. Come on Preston! I'm more than confident that we'll pick up the single win required to win the league in the next three games so wont need to rely on you to drop points. See you upstairs next season for another bum fest!

I'd quite like to see both sides on league 1 next season so I'd prefer a Vale win or a draw as long as it doesn't effect our fate.

I'm still praying Yeovil, Colchester, Orient and Crawley go down and Bristol City, MK and Swindon up.

It makes sense for everybody, Crewe, Vale, Burton, Shrewsbury and Walsall in the same league, likewise PNE, Blackpool, Fleetwood and Wigan in the same league.

I'd much rather have Blackburn, Bolton and maybe Burnley though

'About' 1800 sold when I went to get my ticket yesterday. Could be pay on the gate so could get close to 2000.
Not great, but a Friday night, and 3 of our last 4 away means people probably having to choose.

Yet to get mine, finish work at lunchtime but hoping POTD is announced so I don't have to mess about

Haha! I never thought he was that bad for us although our squad was terrible then.
It was a great strike for the goal as well though :)

Should have made it POTD as 4500 can be accommodated! Guess its on police advise after the scenes following the Wolves game last year.
