Huge game today after 1 win in 10 against a side with a similar appalling away record to ours we must win this.

Bruno is under huge pressure and although Plan B has begun it remains to be seen if he will be part of that.

Huge boost for Vale as Grant returns from a six game ban (oddly the last league win was when he last played) and Jerome Thomas comes in after five weeks out which transforms Vale from an XI of kids and inexperienced foreigners to having some leadership.

Knopps replaces Kiko in the only other change (Kiko has been decent!)

Fancy a sneaky 2-1 today with Grant and Thomas back! Reg and Jones

Awful again against a poor Walsall side. Shocking defending and one up front bollocks again. Ryan Taylor was famed for his set piece delivery at Newcastle but Is clueless with it again.

Get Bruno out of my club!

Piss poor again and Bruno has to go. Second half was better but we couldn't force it and to take 75 minutes to get a shot off on target was simply testament to the negative bullshit Bruno has subject us to for months.

Walsall were pretty poor and that is the worrying thing (well summed up on radio after actually), we barely laid a glove on them despite them being very limited and shows just how awful we are at the moment.

As for the game the goal seemed a foul but regardless we stopped waiting for a free kick decision that didn't come and their lad had all the time he wanted to slot home.

Got a decent attacking left back so go for the defensive left back at home! Jones as a defensive winger?!

Fans cheering as one sub goes off, booing as the replacement comes on...

Radio on way home was interesting... Brown said HE is bring in a new player tomorrow to work on a deal?

What does Bruno actually do?

Club is a mess and we will certainly be relegated unless Bruno goes. It's ok spending loads in January but with Bruno in charge it won't make a slight difference.

Only seen us lose four times (thank fook I don't go away) Northampton and Walsall were meh, Cov and Bolton superb.

Were just beyond shit and doomed under Bruno... longer we wait to pull the trigger the harder it will be to get out of this.

We haven't been playing well - certainly nowhere near last season's level. We've recently switched (last week against Bradford and again today) to 442 from 451, I think we look a little better playing 442.

I thought both teams were poor today, we shaded the first half and just about deserved the lead.
Second half - Vale were better than in the first half, but without creating much. We had a couple of chances & your keeper produced a good save.

It was cold and there was no hot food!

Alnwick kept us from a few pastings of late!

Think we had more chances in the 95 th minute than the rest of the game.

Food ran out in the home ends too which is poor as an opportunity to make money missed but sadly not uncommon!

Just seen on twitter, so no idea of the accuracy, that Bruno Ribeiro has resigned as Vale manager

That will be good. Then we can give someone their first managerial job, see them take us to a decent mid-table finish and then moan about the standard of football until said manager walks out to go manage another club.

This process can then be repeated for as long as the club exists

What's the point in Vale giving any young manager the job when at the first sign of some poor form the fans are on his back?

We might as well not bother with a manager and just let the players pick the team

Ideally we get someone in soon with experience or if we do stick with Browny he gets an old head as number 2. Least now we will get 4-4-2 and put players in the right positions! No more zonal marking!
