Who would you want in as manager if your club fires Askey?
Alexander maybe some one like that.

6 defeats on the trot, another side make absolutely no attempt to win the game and somehow take the points at Vale Park in one of the most one sided second halves you’ll see.

Not good enough. Should be winning that with the chances we’ve had today comfortably.

If it doesn’t change we will be relegated

How the fuck did we win that. Literally went into the vale penalty box once all second half and scored. Didn’t actually think Vale played that badly, especially second half. One of those where on another day you would have won 4-1.

Who knew having your strikers as Mark Cullen and Devante Rodney wouldn't work

We've robbed the win there, no doubt about it. One attack second half and Brophy managed to score.

A draw I thought would've been fair as I thought we was good value for our lead in the first half, but as I expected in the second half Port Vale dominated and threw everything at us. Our ball retention was really, really poor I thought second half, as good as Port Vale were in that second half we was unusually lacklustre.

Rodney and Johnson both missed sitters I thought for both sides.

Still don't see how sacking Askey would be the answer for Port Vale, their second half display was more than good enough. But at the back they seemed to be lacking cohesion - Whenever we attacked (albeit not alot in the seocnd half) we looked dangerous.

Second half was the same as Kings Lynn, Scunthorpe, yeah we could of had 4 or 5 second half but we didn’t.... again and again a side has had one chance and scored.

Defence was best in the league at the start of the month now is weak as piss. We don’t score enough and our mentality is a mess. Any other side would of won that today with the dominance and chances but we are too forgiving and it will cost us an EFL place without fresh ideas. Bolton away next there’s 6 losses on the spin in the league.

I didn’t watch this though have seen the goals at least. To me this is just letting these players off the hook too easily blaming Askey. That second and the third goal for that matter are an absolute joke for a team to concede about 5 levels lower than the one we are at. He obviously needs to find an answer if he can but too many of these players are underachieving massively and they themselves are responsible for that.

Alexander would be a really poor appointment too. Spent ridiculous money at Salford and still didn’t do a great deal there.

He would have us hard to beat again. We’ve lost as many now as we lost all last season!

Today was a joke, got them on the ropes at 2-2 should of scored just yet go to sleep again at the back post. Identical goal to Tranmere's third.

Needless to say the pendulum has appeared to swing with the fan base now majorly wanting the change to happen.

If you’re dominating teams every week, carving teams open & creating all these chances but not taking them. Is it really the manager that is the problem? Do you not simply need to sign someone who is going to finish all these chances?

Would be lucky to get 2k in the ground to watch that if we dropped into tier 2.
Southend came with a plan and it was working until the 44th min.......They even had the best chance before then.
Goodship looks decent for southend.
Lets see if Southend have a plan B

We aren’t carving open but sets us up 1 up front, rotating the four strikers failing to let any of them get into a run of games.

Rodney is raw as, shouldn’t start today.

We’ve dominated Kings Lynn, Scunthorpe and today... failed to avoid defeat, been average at Newport lost... awful at Stevenage lost... thrown away a 2-0 lead and a 3-2 lead in 93 minutes lost...

Doesn’t matter on the performance or chances we are losing week in week out. That in itself is on the manager, he’s not arresting the slide and 6 defeats on the spin; one against a mediocre National League side; 2 against sides 23rd in the league, 2 in the 96th minute is dire by anyone’s standards. I thank him for last season but enough is enough.

It sounds to me like you’re dominating football matches and failing fo take chances then being punished on the odd occasion that an opponent gets out of their half.

That says to me that the performances are there but the chances arent going in. Surely that’s down to lack of quality in your forward players which could be solved with a couple of signings in January rather than ditching the manager and starting again. It would be different if you were playing shite, players had downed tools, teams were peppering your goal and it was generally dreadful.

We were shite Tuesday! Worst we’ve played since Aspin.

Individually Robinson had the best goals ratio bar Doyle last season I believe. Cullen is a scorer, helped Blackpool up, Pope is one of the best goal scorers at this level in recent years.

They are not getting good enough service

Oh right, I was under the impression that they were missing easy chances based on the posts I’ve read about dominance and chances.

Steady on! I’m all about that Doom And Gloom fandom, but that’s a bit much even for me. There is zero chance of you going down. Absolutely none.

Of course there is. We are nose diving like we did in 16/17 in league one.

A word on ourselves who are now in the playoff picture after 4 wins in a row and 5 wins from our last 7.

Whilst I don't think we're quite good enough to go up, because we can be seriously suspect at the back despite todays excellent showing of blocking shots, making good last ditch tackles and defending for your lifes which limited Port Vale to only 3 shots on target I think it was.

But we have some serious firepower in our ranks in Danny Johnson, Conor Wilkinson (Who is now finally showing the sort of form he did for Dagenham) and James Brophy who Ross has now finally decided to play further up the pitch and not stuck at left back. Johnson has turned into the player he was at Gateshead when we was in the NL, he has that cold ruthless streak in him, if sees a chance to shoot he will.

The club is now also alot more settled after the tragic events of 18 months ago and the Carl Fletcher circus which followed it, Ross now seemingly feels more at home being the main man and the addition of one or two extra staff members from outside the club appear to be benefiting him as well.

I also believe that we have the best keeper in this league in Lawrence Vigouroux, we're now also finally seeing the clean sheet numbers he deserves. He's calmed the whole team down since he came in last January with his presence - Whilst he can occasionally try too hard playing out from the back, his shot stopping and commanding of his box at this level is second to none.

We're halfway to safety, any top half finish will be an improvement from last season.

Seems to be a lot of talk tonight that all is not good in the Vale camp with a number of players supposedly causing issues. May explain a few things!

Last season the dressing room was outstanding so not sure what has changed, we built our success of that.

Thought we’d left those days behind from the Hannant, Miller, Whitfield days when Askey was ruthless with what he saw and released them all.

No idea which or why but we need to sort it fast if the case, we’ve enough experienced heads in there.

Despite some recent clean sheets and improving defensively Orient are still vulnerable at the back. I would like to see a more pacey CB brought in and maybe some quality and experience at full back. But other than this I think we are looking strong in most other areas of the pitch. We seem to have a squad of improving players as well which helps.

Orient and Cheltenham are the best teams I’ve watched on ifollow this season thus far.

Oh so I have to thank Mr Askey for giving us the opportunity to sign Hannant? Why thank you sir! He's been brilliant for us.
