We're going to get absolutely slaughtered.

End of thread.

We just lost and have to play a makeshift defence. Negative Awford will play for a draw and this season teams that have done that have escaped Fratton Park with a point.

That was before, though. Our attack should have enough to carve open Luton far more than they carve us open.

We don't have the players to play for a draw even if we wanted to. And we don't have the forward players to carve you open either.

So, easy home win it is.

Was one of the Marquee games when our fixtures came out. Dreading it now.

Know a few people who have bought tickets for the game but arent actually going to bother to go. Pretty crazy to buy a ticket and then not go if you ask me but speaks for how poor we have been, the expectation level going in to the game and the general ambivalence of some sections of our support.

As djs said above we dont even have the team to play for a point if we wanted too, even if we parked the bus one of our useless centre halves is bound to give a goal away for free.

Whoever the new manager is i think we need someone in quick as i think things could begin to unravel very quickly if we suffer a heavy defeat here.

Closest I've ever come to not bothering with a game I've got a ticket for, the prospect (and additional cost) of a long drive or the hassle of multiple trains is so unappealing compared to a lie-in.

Still going mainly out of morbid curiosity, also it's not very often you get to see a 20k ish crowd in League Two. Probably be my last away game for a while though unless things turn pretty quickly under whoever the new guy turns out to be.

Not been feeling my best the last couple of days and £30-40 on train fares on top of £20 match ticket which I bought about a month ago, thinking it would be difficult to get one for this game. Apparently 1600 Luton fans heading down later this morning.

Woke up this morning and thought "nah, bollocks to it" and went back to sleep. We're guaranteed to win now I've done that but I'm happy with the decision. Needed another few days at least to recover any enthusiasm after that Boxing Day horror show.

1554 tickets sold in advance officially, but judging by the number of people with similar stories to mine on facebook etc, wouldn't be surprised if the actual number that traveled was significantly smaller.

You've been allocated the entire Milton End (approx 2500).

Not your club's fault, but there's a lot of unhappiness that home tickets sold out some time ago, with plenty of other Pompey fans looking for tickets still, but there'll be 1000 odd blue seats in the Luton End unsold. Surely this could have been managed better, to give as many people the opportunity to go as possible.

Bad judgement on Pompey's part, that.

Not liking all the negativity coming from Luton fans. Orient fans said the same thing and they beat us!

Anything but a win today is a bad result, though. The other promotion chasers above us should all win.

Yeah, that does sound annoying, although this time last season we had the whole end and it was nearly impossible to get a ticket so it's harsh to blame the club (or police who presumably have a big say in splitting the away end) for expecting a similar following. If the last month or so hadn't been quite as disastrous as it has been I'm sure we'd be bringing more so it's a tricky for the clubs/police to guess well in advance when tickets go on sale.

Well all things considered a point is a decent result there, in particular with a clean sheet.

Sounds like we set up for a 0-0 and thats what we got.

There were loads of empty seats in the Portsmouth areas of the ground?

That was a resolute, committed and hardworking performance. A clean sheet well needed. Cuthbert's best game for the club without a shadow of a doubt. Kudos to him after his mare on Saturday.

Really good away day actually - great banter between both sets of supporters. Quite a large gentleman was the subject of a few taunts from Luton fans - he then "got his tits out for the lads", got a bit shirty and then proceeded to the exit.

A lot of moaning Pompey fans outside the ground.

That was simply not good enough. Final ball was dreadful, we didn't test the Luton keeper anywhere near enough.

That's our fourth goalless draw against mediocre teams at Fratton Park now and that is ultimately going to cost us automatic promotion.
