It's an opening training session

No way you were being allowed to play a match after wed already announced one on Friday was there, would have been carnage in albufeira.

We've got a pre-season friendly in Portugal.

Club have decided to up our corporate game and are offering a 2-day package trip which includes seeing the players train etc and then taking in the game.

Unfortunately the club have also decided that the people of Luton can afford £1500 for a 2-day holiday, not including flights. Not often I say this but you can fucking do one LTFC.
We did something similar - not sure if anyone bothered going...

Won at Wimbledon 2-3 but gave away 2 penalties, that's 4 in 2 games.
Miles in the legs I suppose.
Our lot are off to Tampa tomorrow for a training camp playing some Yank team and some mob called Derby County. I assume that's the team that used to be called Frank Lampard's Derby? ;)

Beat AFC Fylde 4-0, Maguire hat trick & Bodin, missed two penalties as well, sounds an interesting afternoon.

Hopefully we'll see Potts involved next week, his knee is still causing problems.

3-1 win at Sincil Bank, Rhodes, Reach and a football bloopers own goal, played very well. Be a shame if Bruce goes but it looks like he wants out.

Sent another team to Stocksbridge Park Steels and won 5-0, goals from Winnall, Harris, Nuhiu, Forestieri and Van Aken. Good run out for a few of them, great to see Kieran Lee back playing.

Finished Bedford 1-2 Luton with goals from Moncur and Jervis.

I was there and bore witness to a Jake Jervis goal! Unbelievable stuff, I’ll be telling the grand children about that one.

Didn’t score first half but we actually looked way better in that half than the second I thought. Midfield with Shinnie, Moncur, Cranie and Pelly looked very good and unfortunate to not have scored a few to be honest. Bedford keeper was decent I thought.

Second half was a bit weird I thought. Berry at defensive midfield the pick of everyone and played very well but what’s the point playing him there? Seems to be a bit of a waste of his best attributes. Found it odd, thought Tunnicliffe was brought in to do that. Looked to me that Tunnicliffe would have fitted better in the role Berry had that half and vice versa.

Lee has a very big battle on his hands for the 10 spot with Moncur on the basis of today as well. Moncurs interplay with Shinnie in particular was excellent.

Overall played alright but pretty clear there is still much to be done from a transfer perspective. Looked a little thin to me overall.

I guess a load of Wednesday fans went to Lincoln but not to the game as I left The Harvester at half 2 and shit loads of their fans were outside a pub singing Wednesday songs.

Very normal for friendly games, they are so wank.

We were 1-0 up against Derby 45 minutes into a 120 minute game and it got abandoned due to the weather.

Lost 2-1 to Seville last night. Played ok but we badly need to get another striker in. Upfront we've only got Novakovich and Meite who may be sold if a decent offer comes in. Neither Loader nor Baldock can play up front on their own. Hopefull that we still might sign Oliveira.

Cardiff opened their pre-season with a 1-0 victory over San Antonio, with the winning goal coming from a Josh Murphy penalty.

Will always take a win for Cardiff any day of the week, but a few complaints:

* 93F temperatures - although I think that was not the result of Neil Warnock shouting

* The performance was dire - a few of our players looked as if they would rather be on a beach... we can always take them to Devon & Cornwall next year again I guess.. Pints and Pasties and a walk along Fistral beach...

* The pitch was absolutely farcical - relaid 1/4 of it with astroturf!

* San Antonio looked as if they were playing a kids team, with word being that their GK (incidentally the best player on the field) is still in High School!

Positive points were that Reid, MML and Murphy looked impressive, Cameron Coxe did okay when he came on and played at RB - still nowhere near being a first team player and needs a stint out at L2/VN level in order to improve. Vaulks as well impressed with one sprayed pass being almost out of the Paul Scholes book of killer through balls.

Cardiff's Under 23s won 7-0 at Tavistock, but apparently not without issue as Gary Madine (one of the goalscorers, getting a hat-trick) and Lee Tomlin (also on the scoresheet) aren't happy at having to play in the U23s and both want out.

Any clubs in the Championship with a few million to spend, this way please.

4-0 win at Northampton tonight, Reach, Fletcher, Nuhiu and Rhodes on the scoresheet. Definitely not struggling for goals so far albeit against weaker opposition, team goes to Germany now for 2 games over there.

Finished Basingstoke Town 2-7 Luton Town (120 minutes), with the last quarter played with 10, possibly intentionally.

Goals from James Collins, Andrew Shinnie, Elliot Lee, Callum McManaman, Josh Neufville, Harry Cornick and Jake Jervis (again!)

What smashing a Step 4 team with about 8 senior players does for anyone, I've no idea...

Next match in 8 days time v Maritimo and then a final friendly v Norwich the Saturday before the season starts.

Drew 0-0 with Malaga B yesterday morning and won 1-0 against Spanish second division side Extremadura last night. Created very little in either game but looking solid at the back.

Got to sign at least 3 or 4 players in the next couple of weeks. If we don't then i cant see us staying up because there is a serious lack of quality in the squad.
