Pre season schedules are beginning to take shape now. How is yours looking?

Here is Alfreton`s so far -

Tuesday 3rd July Carlton Town (A) 19.45
Saturday 7th July Doncaster Rovers (H) 15:00
Saturday 14th July Matlock Town (H) 15:00
Saturday 21 July Buxton (H) 15:00 (H) ( Not confirmed yet)
Wednesday 25 July Burton Albion XI (H) 19:45
Saturday 28 July Chesterfield (H) 15:00

Really happy with how ours is shaping up. Too many times in recent seasons have we put gate receipts before the team. Refreshing to see that isnt the case this time. Seems our chairman may have learnt from last seasons stale schedule where we were chasing the ball for 90 minutes for the majority of the time. Expect a game against one or more of Forest, Mansfield and Notts County though.

We get to lose at Macclesfield again. Also facing Telford and the mighty LEX away from home.

Ricko's trying to get a home friendly sorted, presumably against a Wolves XI.

Forgot to add Airbus and Craig Harrison FC away.

We're also playing Louletano DC in the 30000 capacity Estádio Algarve. No doubt the locals will flock to watch the mighty Wrexham for that one, a sell out is expected.

We've announced five home friendlies, none of which fill me with any excitement.

Reading XI, Gillingham, Cambridge and, for some strange reason, Eastbourne and fucking Billericay!

We'll probably play some Portuguese second division side on our annual summer camp over there too.

Hi Joe. Long time no speak.

Yeah we're playing you lot and we're also playing f'king Glenn Tamplin FC ffs. I reckon we'll take a strong side to yours and most likely a second string side to Billericay, but I really wish we don't do that as I don't want those fuckers to beat us. I know it's only a pre season friendly but still!

You're bound to entertain us again with Waddock and Ainsworth being mates.

If we did it would probably be the 28th (unless you end up going to an L2 side on that date). If we have a game on the 24th it will probably be Chelsea U21

It's certainly been a while!

I know a few Cambridge fans from your time at this level, good bunch. It's not so much the fact we're playing Billericay that's got me, it's the fact it's at home! Can see them steamrolling through the South this coming season, unfortunately.

Think they'll send their first team to Crabble. We will get the Youth's.

Chelmsford and Woking away. Fucking hell.

Gillingham website says
Two different sides, containing a mix of first-team, development and youth players, will be in action.

Not heard of this before -

Bradford Park Avenue, who finished 7th in National League North in 17/18, have released their pre-season fixture schedule & two games are "dependent on progress of England at the 2018 World Cup"

Three potential moneyspinners for us:
1) Colchester Tues 10th July 7:45pm
2) Ipswich Sat 14th July 3:0pm
3) Local rivals Chelmsford Sat 28th July 3:0pm
I understand both Colchester and Ipswich sending strong sides to Cressing Rd and Chelmsford always bring a good few as well..

Quite a large number there Aber. Interesting how you have one in June. We are unable to play in June due to a Derbyshire FA ruling apparently!

Well turns out ours has changed over the last few weeks

Our updated list

Tuesday 3rd July Carlton Town (A) 19:45
Saturday 7th July Doncaster Rovers (H) 15:00
Friday 13th July Scunthorpe United (H) 19:45
Tuesday 17th July Buxton (H) 19:45
Saturday 21st July Nottingham Forest U23 (H) 15:00
Wednesday 25th July Burton Albion XI (H) 19:45 (Development also away at Heanor Town)
Saturday 28th Chesterfield (H) 15:00

So we have let Matlock and Buxton down and moved a Saturday 3pm to a friday night. Hmm.

Admission for the home games is £10 Adults. £4 Concessions

However after poor interest last season we have announced a special Pre season ticket where you can watch all 5 home games for £30 adults and £18 Concessions with payment upfront, Decent deal.

It's early don't get me wrong but what a bizarre restriction put in place by the Derbyshire FA.

That list doesn't cover a 3 day training camp and potentially a game against a Premier League XI on the 31st July.

We’ve cancelled two games as we won’t have enough players to fulfill the fixtures.

Tonbridge Angels have arranged a friendly against Forest U23s on Saturday 4th August which means the prestigious away game at East Grinstead has been cancelled.
