Brings back good memories!

Imagine one day, winning the title and becoming a EFL club again. Glorious.

They won’t be able to have a bus parade though, they’ve already furloughed the driver

Roberts has been back for six minutes, dribbled past two players and stuck one in the top corner from 25 yards. Take him off again now IMO.

I didn’t go but it sounds like we were really good and the lad signed from Darlington seems like he’s gonna be a baller.

and most importantly it celebrates winning the conference and no longer being in the pit of misery.

Won 3-0 at FA Trophy Champs Hornchurch, goals from Vilhete, Trialist and Wilson.

Heard the Trialist striker who scored today and last week has actually already signed, we’re just waiting for Darren McQueen who is surplus to seal a move elsewhere. This striker is coming from way down in the Essex Olympian Football League courtesy of our chief scout, John Still. The last time we signed a player from that league was Paul Benson, if he’s half as good he will be some player.

1-0 win at Telford for us. Not much to learn again with nothing close to a full strength xi out there together at any point. First hour was very dull with us having loads of possession, our threat unsurprisingly picked up when we put Wootton, Rodrigues and Roberts on.

Roberts looked fit and came through a few heavy challenges. Scored a screamer as well.

How did the trialists look? Be interesting to see what happens with them over this next week.

Bennett didn’t do a lot but he had the bad strike force on in front of him. Some nice touches. I’d be very surprised if Wright got a deal. Hondermarck probably the pick for me, with Sherif pretty tidy playing in defence as well.

Have heard today that Bennett could potentially be signed next week. Yeah I hope we bin Wright off…he missed a sitter today didn’t he? Can’t see us signing both Sherif & Hondermarck…so will be interesting to see what happens regarding them.

It wasn’t really a sitter to be fair to Wright, behind him and he had to try and volley it in. Close to the goal though. I think Bennett makes a lot of sense to be honest as a Roberts alternative.

Suleyman Zuhdu scored 20 goals in that league last season and they only played a handful of games so probably him.

Still was horrendous during his time here but if there's one thing he does well it's identifying players from lower levels.

I know who it is Aaron Blair, plays or did play for Ongar.

Yeah Still is finished as a manager, shown in his spell with us before you but he still has a brilliant scouting network which helped us finish the season as we did last time out.

Yeah fine, only got a half but tidy in possession. Telford didn’t put us under much pressure to be honest so hard to tell defensively.

To be honest the main thing to take away is what we already know - if Roberts is over the injury and stays fit for a season then we will be very good. We’ve got some other good players at this level, but Cal just looks the standout player on the pitch in every game I’ve seen him play for us.

1-1 draw with Stockport for us today. It was definitely, 100%, no doubt about it, their first team.

Won 2-0 at Poole yesterday, Koszela and Lolos with the goals. One of the trialiasts was apparently Tarryn Allarakhia from Crawley.
