Second string at Hillsborough today so probably get battered. Only Tavares of our strongest XI likely to start as seems Hooper, Kiko and Thomas are injured.

Maybe we will go with a more reserve line up too, not risking much a week before the season starts.

I imagine this was planned by both sides to be a decent test just a week before the season starts but with us throwing in the Utd friendly yesterday it has kind of ruined that. Can't imagine your lot being impressed with us sending a reserve side up there today

Originally it was Chester away yesterday then Owls today so would have been planned to go full strength today. We cancelled late notice on Chester then send a weakened side up today. Really poorly handled by ourselves to be honest and looks very weak except Tavares if Hooper, Kiko and Jerome Thomas are still out. Could be a heavy defeat.

Shambles from us defensively in the 4-1 home defeat the Hibs. I am afraid the warnings from Vale and Dale fans regarding Lancaster and Mcgivern are appearing to be accurate! I am praying Mickey Mellon is planning to use Adam El-Abd, but early indication is we will be shipping plenty of goals!

Beat Cheltenham 3-0. Ellis Harrison, Chris Lines and Matty Taylor scored. Looked very good but Cheltenham should probably be looking for some new defenders.

Team of mainly reserves and youth graduates kept the score line to relatively respectable 3-0 against a full strength Sheff Weds at Hillsborough. Good experience for them. Sounded like we improved when Forrester came on.

Was impressed with our boys today we got a strong squad, plenty of experience, got couple good youth players coming through the academy. think we will do well this season.

Early indications are we are significantly weaker in both boxes, which given what happened last season should have the alarm bells ringing out loud and clear. Mellon needs to do some good business before the window closes for sure!

Beat Colchester 2-0 on Sat, we played a strong team dominated first half scored 2 goals. Second half injury avoidance. We've had a a pretty solid pre-season.

Look after him, he really is fantastic. Even after leaving us he is still helping us out by being a makeshift scout for this Makris player we are signing
