Beat Hungerford 2-1 away.

Kids for an hour and first team for 30 mins. Oisyn Smyth and Ben Davis with the goals. Davis is a Thai Under 23 International who we've had for a year, and he's followed around by literally thousands of young Thai girls on Twitter and Insta whenever we play him (which is mostly friendlies and Papa Johns games). This was his first goal, so I expect the internet in Thailand will break tomorrow morning when they all wake up!

Got 60 minutes out of Jodi Jones who was apparently very impressive.

Tomorrow we reverse it away to Eastleigh and the first team get 60 minutes and the kids 30 minutes.

Can only go off the updates but may as well give Tommy McDermott the Ballon d’Or now. That’s a proper footballers name as well so am all on board until we loan him out to Newcastle Town or Stafford Rangers.

Won 5-1 at Eastleigh.

First team played about 75 minutes and the kids came on for the last 15, when it was already 5-1.

100% record so far, five wins out of five, relegation beckons!

Given the number of games on Tuesday and Wednesday, I've decided to publish a midweek table. I've not included Bolton's loss last night to Atherton Collieries as it appears it was their all-new B team that played the game. Anyway - results:

12/07/2022
Hungerford 1-2 Oxford
Wycombe 0-0 Oxford City
Watford 0-2 Bolton
Exeter 3-0 Truro
Bristol City 0-0 Portsmouth
Morecambe 1-3 Huddersfield
Bath City 3-1 Bristol Rovers
Burton 0-1 Nottingham Forest
Stratford Town 1-2 Cheltenham
Plymouth 1-1 Swansea
Telford 0-0 Shrewsbury
Ipswich 1-2 West Ham
Deeping Rangers 0-4 Peterborough
Coventry 1-0 FGR

13/07/2022
Eastleigh 1-5 Oxford
Accrington 2-0 Stoke
Stevenage 1-1 Peterborough
Port Vale 1-0 Dundee Utd

We're playing an actual friendly at Hartlepool this weekend (us, them and Blackburn seem to be playing each other over the next week or so).

Don’t think we’ve got another one now until 23rd July at Rochdale. Think we come back from Spain in next couple of days so will see if they arrange anything behind closed doors in the meantime. Some of our plans have been skewed by our season finishing later than everyone else but could do with one extra friendly I feel.

MK Dons have done it right - play once against a bunch of amateurs then stick on 3 ppg hoping those playing more games eventually slip up.

Like last pre-season we had to borrow players off Bristol City for the friendly. We have no strikers. Zero. Not a sausage. 16 days until kick-off. :dk::eyes::hb:

It doesn't help our pre season preparations much so all I can presume is we are targetting Si's Pre Season League over League One this season, :fl:

If your including our game at Bath you will also have to include our game at Chippenham on the same night where we won 4 - 1. The squads were split 50/50.

Perfect from us, hammer the one amateur bunch then narrow losses to sides from league above, pre-season of a solid mid-table showing, which would be marvellous.

Jerome Sinclair is available, might stop squabbles on our forum if you take him.

Thanks - I did notice that game at the time, so not sure why I didn't record it.
