We've only got 3 PSF's this year and all are away. I presume becuase we are hosting 4 games from the womens Euro's, so I doubt we are going to be very high up the PSF league!!!

Oh well. I like football and I like women so that's a few evenings sorted. Cheap too. £10 for the group games and £15 for the semi final.
Really looking forward to the Women's Euros...England have a decent squad, it is hard to pick a starting eleven, and with home advantage are justifiably one of the favourites to win...just a bit gutted they didn't use any grounds in the West Country for the tournament.

Gas beat Melksham Town 6-1 last night with goals from;

1) Aaron Collins
2) Jerry Lawrence (pen)
3) Harvey Greenslade
4) James Gibbons
5) Ryan Jones
6) Harvey Saunders

Decent run-out, looking fit and sharp. We drew this fixture 1-1 in the last pre season.

Lost 2-1 at Tiverton Town. We played three different teams, with the second batch being our u18s. Tiverton scored two when the young’uns were on the pitch but they’ll learn from that.

We looked rusty as you’d expect. Jevani Brown scored our goal at the death and out of all the players he was the most dangerous. It was a good run out with no injuries so all good.

It was nice to see some live football after a long preseason break. Not long now till we’re back for the real stuff. Can’t wait!

Despite 3 teams playing, I'm assuming it was still played over two halves of 45 mins?

Can’t believe it’s preseason already tbh. Feels like a couple of weeks ago I was watching Vale get promoted

that was 5 weeks ago, but even so, our pre-season is very short this time around with finishing weeks after the rest.

Apparently we lost 4-1 at Wolves training ground today. Not sure if it counts as a proper friendly?

As long as it included the majority of your first team, and had two halves of 45 mins, it counts.

FWIW, our traditional pre-season opener with Evesham saw us beat them 4-0.

Who knows, the club has given precisely zero information. The only reason I know the score is because Wolves posted it. Seems Adama Traore and Pedro Neto were amongst the scorers for Wolves, so given the result was relatively respectable I’d guess we played a strong team.

4-0 win for us at Gainsborough with two different XI's in each half.

Bishop, Roughan, Brooks and Kendall with the goals. Now off to Hungary for a training camp where we've got a couple of games.

Pity that, out of all our pre-season friendlies that is the one I would really like to have seen...especially given some of the stars that line up for Wolves...will have to make do with the home game versus Newport.

Mind you, we have had some pretty good games against the Exiles over the years...so maybe a friendly isn't that bad after all, a game with nothing resting on the result...probably end up something like 6-6!

We beat Oxford City 5-2 at theirs. Apparently, City's 1st goal was a cracker from Zac McEachran.

We drew 2-2 with fellow Plymouth team Plymouth Parkway. Mixture of first team and youngsters, and we had 5 first team players out. They are off to Spain tomorrow.

When I lived in the area I always tried to attend some of the local away games - EG yate or something as the atmosphere is usually nice and you can usually have a beer while watching.

But I have absolutely zero interest watching us at home playing someone like Stoke, for example

Yes, it was a good goal, as was Cam Bran's first for us.

Two different elevens each half, a mixture of first teamers and 7 or 8 kids. Oisin Smyth looked very good for us in a defensive mid position, and could be the next one off the OUFC Irish production line.

Beat Havant & Waterlooville 3-0 in our traditional opening friendly on Saturday. 11 changes at half time. Then lost 1-0 to Gosport Borough on Sunday with a similar setup. We need a striker or four.

Don’t forget we’re usually fucking up the play off final so we’ve had 3 very short pre seasons in recent years.

it was, yes.
