He’s not. Steve Evans has tonight confirmed that he’s left them as he couldn’t settle and looks set to return to Carlisle.

He was at the match tonight, sat on the bench with Pressley and the players.
Where did your comment that we 'might survive go'?

Anyway, presumably Brunt will now be shanned off back to Villa.

As for Kwame, probably has to prove himself further against Ross County. He was improving throughout the first half, looking like the kind of forward who can win challenges in the area, hold off defenders and finish. I presume this is what he looks like in training, you'd always hope that the triallists you have at least look good in training. I think if he's come out in the second half and shown that was the kind of striker he is rather than just the kind of striker he has in his locker then he'd be worth a contract right away. We're after three forwards I think, so Kwame has probably staked a fairly strong claim to be one of those.

It was an over reaction. We still have no strikers. And I remembered there are 2 versions of Nathan Thomas, the one that we had and the one that doesn’t like being in relegation battles that notts county had.

Drew 3-3 at Bishops Stortford. Goals from Lee Angol x2 and Jordan Maguire-Drew.

After destroying them first half, we badly caved in and threw away a three goal lead. Still could've won it after that as well.

Thankfully it wasn't our first choice defence. We had 2 trialists, one was from Dulwich Hamlet - Michael Chambers. 90mins played for the remaining first team players.

Last game is on Saturday at home to Norwich U23s.

We won 0-0(3-2 penalties) :bdick:

With 4 who I'd expect to be in the starting 11, so the over 7 must have played at Bolton.

I've marked it as a 0-0 draw on the table. Only the 90 mins count.

So far in our two lucrative home friendlies Fleetwood and Burnley X1 we have just scrambled 2000 fans for both games.
Fleetwood brought 37 which is excellent for them and Burnley 77 .
Given the fact that our last game is a plum fixture against a Bury mish mash team I expect our January transfer budget to be about a fiver

I hear Jamie Cureton scored for Bishops Stortford at the age of 79.

We signed him 9 years ago and he was old then. Still think he could do a job off the bench at this level.

Lost 0-1 at Brackley Town.
Despite our good start to the pre-season, three straight defeats now mean that we are dropping like a proverbial.
Franchise at home on Friday...

Lost 3-0 to a very strong Leicester team in our first friendly that was open to the public. Some good last ditch defending and excellent goalkeeping kept the score down. Wes Hoolahan, George Maris, Sam Carruthers, Elliott Ward, and Andrew Dallas from Rangers were all trialing.

Bristol City have sold out their initial 1100 allocation for tonight, so we're giving them an extra 200.

Ended up being our sub keeper, trialists, 2 first-year pros and youth players that played last night.

Perhaps Plymouth can step in for that final friendly.

Decent finishes by Kwame Thomas, especially for the second goal. You have to say though, Tranmere's marking was diabolical on both occasions.

Either I need an eye test or that is a terrible kit clash. Why would The Trannies not wear White?
