I think you will have to drop us a good few places as we are in utter dissaray with our manager and his whole coaching team off to Swansea.

Posted this on the match thread too.

Dont think everyone will agree with this and I very much doubt we will be as high as predicted.

Some of those positions are ludicrous in my view but then there is so much going on with clubs who knows. I really don't think Lincoln will manage 2nd or Burton 5th and even with our losing Martin I think we are better than 17th.

It's all guesswork, except that Ipswich should storm the League wit ease.

Think the relegation battle will be close this season. I suspect any of the 4 I’ve included could well stay up.

No idea on any of it but I've seen Fleetwood nominated as relegation fodder a few times. Why is that? Has Pilley's money run out or is he bored or something else I'm missing? Their latest signing, Darnell Johnson, we had on loan last season and would have liked to sign him but out of our price range. Well, the fans would, don't know if Robbo actually made him an offer ;-)

Do you think that having fans back at Plough Lane might help you? I know in theory it is the same for all teams, but I wonder if you will get an extra edge? I know my season ticker holder mate is really looking forward to going ‘home’, even though he now lives in Kingston so his journey is a bit longer.

Stab in the dark this, don't know a lot about the division. Had MK for 2nd but bumped them down a bit because of the manager situation. Not really convinced we'll stay up either but I'll put us 5th bottom based on Bonner being a fucking genius rather not a one season wonder, rather than because I believe we have a squad not in the worst 4 in the division.

No chance we finish second, the manager has next to no experience and the defence is basically the same as last season bar the signing of one player and we finished 20th with 77 goals conceded (4th worst in the league). Like you said though, stab in the dark so I'll take it as a compliment and let you off haha.

In fact, I could easily see us propping up the table come the end of August. Our fixtures are hideous.

Here’s my very average guess. To be honest, there are Clubs like Crewe and Plymouth who I’ve not really noticed making many signings.

It’s a big league this season in my opinion and I think it’s going to be even more difficult for the promoted sides to make their mark in their first season in L1.

Ipswich are clear favourites for me and I think Adkins will get a tune out of Charlton.

MK will be interesting with Martin leaving, will JFH keep his good record up at Burton? Shrewsbury will be difficult games with Cotterill in charge. I’m not feeling Fleetwood at all this season but maybe it’s my view of Grayson sides being boring and defensive that’s done that.

I might have done Morecambe a disservice but coming into a new league for a Club their size is difficult but to then come into it after pandemic football, which affects the finances and then throw in a new manager as well…

I really struggled with the middle third of the league, it’s always so tight that everyone moves about every week.

This is going to sound daft but I think it’ll look like we’re going backwards but in actual fact still progressing – just that other, bigger Clubs, have got their act together a bit.

I'm very surprised some are tipping Morecambe to stay up. They've lost their manager and their best player. Even "expert" pundits are tipping them to survive.

I know one thing we are streets ahead of the team that finished second in this league 5 seasons back.
I think we are lacking slightly up front with Doyle still not match fit through covid

Playoff form for us over the last quarter of last season so expect us to be a bit better than where we're being put unless Robinson as manager turns out to be a one season wonder, which I don't think he will. Big if is whether we can replace Pigott's goals.

Oh, I need to take more notice then!
Last year our defence relied on young loanees and they let in 80 goals. Lowe has realised that relying on a very young back line was a big mistake. This year we have more seasoned pros. I would say that we are a few players light in terms of depth, and our number one defence signing has not played yet because of a training injury. However, defensively we have looked, so far, chalk and cheese from last year.
