I used to like the JPT. Won't be going any games next season.

Cannot believe the FL clubs have voted this in.

I for one will not be going to any 'EFL Trophy' games next season, and I hope there is a widespread boycott to get the message across.

The start of Premier League B teams working their way into the football league. Which is the start of the end for interest in football for me as soon as that happens.

I hope we continue to just accept the fine and play our own reserves.

It's a terrible idea, will continue to be a terrible idea and all of those involved deserve some serious misfortune. Hopefully watching their darlings being mauled by some hairy arsed centre half in front of 0 fans will cause a rethink.

I haven't been to one of these games in years. I remember somehow beating Leeds at Elland Road. Which was decent. It's been rubbish for years. No one cares about it until the semi-final/final and then the teams that get there buzz about it because it's a trophy.. Blah

Crowds are abysmal anyway. I expect they'll be even worse if you play an academy side.

Normally go to a game if I've got nothing else on, won't be going anymore. Hopefully the crowds are terrible, the youngsters get arse fucked and we can all get back to our pre B team tournament.

Disgraceful, any team playing against an academy team should stand still from the first whistle to the last and attending supporters ( if anyone bothers) should stand in silence with their backs to the pitch, it's about time the prem realised our competitions are just as valid as theirs

Simply a device for getting B teams into the football league, the big clubs will do anything to win the JPT, so in a few year time they can complain that the football league trophy isnt strong enough to test up and coming future prem players.

Vote with your feet.

Sold for fifty pieces of silver.
Had 2 great Wembley / Millenium days out, only good from semis onwards.
The 72 lazy arsed chairman been to the Algarve for a week on their jollies and the best they can do is this.
1 million quid between 48 teams equates to 21 grand per club, woohoo really going make a difference to us all.

Basically the Premier want isolation almost total control of the game as we know it. This coming Wednesday is a starting point, Prem fixtures released, ours are a week later, first time this has ever happened.

Clubs like Swansea, Bournemouth, Stoke etc all got short memories of life down here, and it's pretty much i'm alright Jack attitudes now and sod the rest.

Is there a list of which clubs boards have voted in favour?
Be amazed if there was Aber, i would guess 25 of the 48 need to say yes , shame on them all.
Somehow the JPT final of Hull Tigers reserves / under 21's against the Vale doesn,t quite do it for me.
Hope the competition folds now.

The football league 100 thing had to be approved by 90% (I think?) of clubs so assume it would be the same for this?

Here's a thought for the big premier league clubs....stop stockpiling players and allow them to get competitive games by signing for lower league clubs. Can't believe the football league voted this in

I'd love to know how ours voted. He's not Mr. Popular in the first place
21 grand to Smurf to go with the Page compensation, happy days for the bloke. He perhaps hoping we draw Man Utd away and there will be 75,000 gate :eyes:

It's got to be something like 90% to get it through, so most clubs would have agreed.

It's not even just a knockout - a series of pointless 'group' games to make it through to a pointless knockout competition.

The PL clubs have put up £1.85m - about 90 grand each - whoopdy fucking do.

Accrington have said they voted against it.

Interesting to see if other clubs mention it.

So glad we're in the Championship now and don't have to be part of this bollocks. Premier League can go f*ck itself

Only way to stop this as mentioned is to boycott.

So we should boycott.

Won't be going to a single game. Which is a shame as the day out at Wembley this year was well-attended, an exciting game of football and the perfect atmosphere - everything local clubs would want to advertise to potential supporters. We also had games against Millwall and Swindon which I enjoyed tremendously. All ruined for a thin slice of Premier League money.
