Still pissed off about Tuesday night so finding it hard to have any enthusiasm about this fixture.
Hoping for 11 changes with Vermijl and McGeady back in the team, Baptiste moving into the centre in place of Bailey Wright. 4-3-3.
Club are expecting 20k+ for this one, can't remember the last time we passed that figure for a league fixture, think we had 19,800 on last season against Blackburn.
Not sure if Welsh or Mcgeady are fit but that's what I'd go with if they are. For some weird reason I still think we will get something out of this even after that the other night.
Relatively confident about this with the amount of changes made midweek and the run we're currently on but I'm sure that's what Huddersfield and Norwich both thought.
It'll be an entirely different game to Tues but I'd take a 1-0 right now.
I'd imagine Darlow, Lascelles, Shelvey and Gayle will come back to start this however Mitro certainly did himself a few favours midweek.
Really don't know what to think of the game today after Tuesday!!
That squad of Newcastle is ridiculous so would be absolutely delighted to take anything from today's game. I'd like to think we're more than capable of doing with with our recent league form.
I'm off to town for a few beers before game. Should be cracking atmosphere before and during game.
If we get something and Baptiste gets on the end of something it could be a double sweep. My confidence that we will get something from this has disppeared over night, I just hope it's not a pasting like Tuesday.
Can't believe we've lost that one, thought we were the better side for the majority but it was a professional job by Newcastle and if you don't take your chances then players like Mitrovic will punish you. Would like to see our second penalty shout again, no doubt Beckford was looking for it but it looked pretty blatant from my view.
Had more than enough chances to win the game but our luck just wasn't in, proved by hitting the outside of the post with the last kick. Feel hard done by to leave with nothing but happy with the performance.
Bit disappointed in the end, thought it was a pen in the last minute but thought the Robinson one before the second was a stonewaller.
The only disappointment for me was Pringle, he just seems to be a bit too slow and not very strong. Pearson was excellent again, he just doesn't stop harrassing players, he's going to be a big miss if he's suspended now.
We've shown over the past month that we can compete with the best in this division, hopefully we can show the same form next month as all 3 games look winnable.
