I saw this on another forum and thought it was of interest.
I know there are fookin' loads of us but we can only hope this doesn't turn in to a City thread, if it does, please delete it.
Whoever posts before you (ie the next post IS about my team as I bloody started it) tells us what they think of the previous posters teams chances and try not to be a follower of the same side as it won't bloody work!

FWIW, I have watched a load of kids doing 'non biased shite previews' today yet their teams always end up going up, little bastards! This should sort out who's a little biased prick and who isn't!
SERNWA should be a giggle!

JJH, as a mod, let rip pal.
Shall we say I start this as a....................Blackburn supporter as there are none of them on here?

Happy to set the ball rolling on this one, really like the concept.

I don't think Blackburn fans were originally (and still aren't I assume) happy about the appointment of Owen Coyle for obvious reasons, but he's surprisingly recruited fairly well. Graham looked good against us last season and bagged a couple, and Stokes seems to be highly rated and was sought after by a few other clubs in this division, so will be interesting to see how he adapts to life in the Championship.

Obviously Hanley's a massive loss, and rumour has it that Duffy may also be leaving, but I think they should be alright. There are clubs in worse positions in terms of playing squads than them. Lower mid-table I they can get in a good centre half.

Hard to say with city, picked up well when Johnson came in but I don't think their squad is overly strong. Then again they've chucked a crazy £9million bid in like they did last season, will they actually spend it? Probably not. I'll go with lower mid table.

It's difficult to make an informed prediction on a club that you don't follow too closely. I have friends and colleagues who follow Wednesday (thankfully no family though) and they pretty much all seem optimistic for the season ahead. Based on last seasons effort and some impressive new additions I believe they're in for another good season. I think automatic may just be beyond them considering the competition this season but I reckon they'll get into the playoffs, and more comfortably than last season, so I will say 3rd or 4th.

Barnsley are very dependant on how Winnall and Bradshaw take to the Championship. If they score goals like they did in League One they could push top half, if they don't then I think they may struggle. I predict 16th.

I think Bristol City will do slightly better than last season - about 13th or 14th.

They should score quite a few goals but the defence still looks weak on paper.

Derby are probably not good enough for automatic promotion, but should be prominent in the playoff picture. The only question is whether they fall apart just before or during the playoffs

Under McCarthy Ipswich will somehow make a playoff push as always despite the competition this year. I work with a Norwich fan so I hope you make him cry and finally beat them in a derby for what feels like an eternity.

Can't see Newcastle not going up, crazy money spent by them and a great manager in Benitez

We haven't bid £9m for anyone, you need to stop believing everything that Rammy posts.

As for Wigan, they chucked about a fair bit in L1, but seemingly have fuck all to spend this summer. Powell's a potentially very decent signing, but I don't think they've particularly strengthened in other areas.

I think they'll struggle this season, I have them down as 22nd, so we'll see.

Edit: I'm now a Brighton fan...

Brighton are the team that impressed me the most last season and the only team to tear us a new one under LJ. I think they could go close again, maybe even make the top 2.
I am a Norwich supporter for the purposes of this thread.

Am I allowed to repeat post?

Sod it. I think Norwich will do well as always in this division. As long as they don't lose many of their bigger names, they've largely kept the same squad together that got them promoted 2 years ago. If they get Mccormack through the door as well they'll be a real threat and after seeing him last season, I'm a big fan of Klose at the back too.

For the purposes of the thread I'll be a ....Forest fan.

Forest should have a good season if they can keep Asombaloga fit. Never heard of their manager but I rate a couple of their signings. Traore on a free is good for this league, and Vellios has potential to be a hit. With a bit of luck (and getting rid of Fawaz) I think they'll finish just inside the top half.

Prediction 10th.

Could vary a lot depending on who they buy this summer, they definitely have a lot more financial power now than they used to. Promotion push, 4th - 8th finish.

I'm a Wigan fan now.

They've already been done, but given that your profile claims you're a Ipswich fan, I'll give them a go.

Just had a look through their lack of transfer business, can only see them finishing lower than last season in a much tougher league. Their squad on paper isn't actually that special, Mick's had them overachieving for the last couple of years. They need some serious investment, or they're going to be CANE for the rest of their existence.

Think Cardiff may struggle this season, don't rate Trollope as an appointment and seems to just add to the strange ongoings behind the scenes. The fans seem totally disillusioned with some really low figures last season despite a decent campaign. There's a few others I think will struggle more though so I'll say 18th.

Huddersfield played us off the park home and away last season even though we managed to get a win at deepdale. They've made a lot of signings and it will be interesting to see how they adapt to english football with most of them being signed from abroad. Billing in midfield looked class against us and ran the game and with wells up top I fancy them to maybe sneak into the playoffs if they can gel quickly enough and keep hold of them both.

PNE, I wish nothing but good luck to our 'friends in the North'. Great club and fans.
With all respect, I think they can only survive for a certain length of time with their current side and recruitment has been on the 'cheap' side.
No chance of going down (which i would hate to see) but no chance of bothering the top end either.
16th / 17th.
Next, I am a Rotherham Utd supporter, perish the thought!

Think Rotherham will have another season of struggle, not been buying the local star so unsure of any signings they have made other than Price from us. Can only see him being 2nd string keeper though. Without Colin think they will probably get relegated, but they are always favourites for relegation and prove people wrong, can they do it again? Between 20th-23rd for me, might not get their annual cup final win at Hillsborough this time though.

Think Wednesday will go up this season, either with a strong play-off push, or potentially 2nd (let's face it, 1st is already wrapped up for the geordies). Reckon there is a good season on the way for you lot.
