You mean where Cardiff had to lose the last game of the season? Which they did, thanks to use and Jermaine Johnson, that was 2009 BTW.

Cha I'm more worried about Brum than you lot
That's the one. Cheers Wednesday :2thumb:

That season was crazy, we were shit for the most part as well.

To finish above Cardiff on goals scored after beating them 6-0 a few weeks previously was just hilarious.

That 90th minute Ross Wallace at free kick at Birmingham has to be one of my most celebrated goals ever as well.

We're included in this thread now. 17 off the POs. I think we'll do it.

We're back baby (not really!). Very fortunate result today. Maybe that's what we needed though to stop the rot.

Results went our way so with the game in hand we look back in the race. Realistically, unless we get a few injured players back or get someone in on loan, we don't have enough in us I don't think.

Like to officially rule us out now, after being top of the league for a week it seems our promotion hopes are all over.

Would be good if JJH could count too. It's 18 points.

I haven't completely given up hope on Ipswich making the playoffs. Our remaining home games are all against teams in the bottom half, whereas four of our six remaining away games are against teams above us. If we can get some good form going at home, there's no reason why we couldn't win, say, five out six. Then we just need a couple of good results (even draws would be fine against our direct competitors) from the difficult away games. It sounds so easy...

Well well well, that's a very good 3 points today. Somehow we're a point adrift with a game in hand.

With Bishop, Fraser, Skuse & McGoldrick all out... we're well positioned for their returns.

Absolutely must capitalise against Bolton on Tuesday.

Four teams within one point on the edge of the playoffs, looks like it's going right to the wire. There are plenty of games between the teams in contention, right up to and including the last day, so it's going to be a tense one.

I've been looking at the fixtures for the automatic race as well, Hull's run in is so much easier than the others so I'd fancy them to win the title if it's still close going into the last few games. Hull's last four are against Reading, Leeds, Bolton and Rotherham, whereas Middlesbrough have to play Burnley, Ipswich, Birmingham and Brighton.

April/May look like it'll be Sky's dream month and a bit!! Pretty much two games a week between the top 9 (if we include Preston in the mix).

In terms of the last day:
Boro play Brighton
Town are at Derby
Cardiff play Brum

Our last three are; Sheff Wed (H), Brighton (A) and ipswich (H). Make or break.

So important to start putting some points on the board against the poorer teams in this league.

We've still got to go to Cardiff, Wednesday, Boro and Derby. The last 3 there being our last 3 away games.

Our home games all look very winnable on paper but then this is the championship!

I reckon our game at home to Burnley will be on Sky. 23rd April so they could be in with a chance of going up.

Wednesday, Burnley and Derby still to visit the Amex. Away to Boro on the final day. Big, big football matches (though some potentially way more important than others, depending on how the next few weeks pan out).

As honest and unbiased as I can be... I have got Ipswich taking that last playoff spot.

In the remaining games, if the result is the same from the reverse fixtures earlier in the season, this is what the table would look like come the end of the season.

If we're 11 points clear of 7th after 46 games I'll renew my season ticket...

We have played all of the current top 6 away, with just Brighton, Burnley and Middlesbrough left to play at home.

Preston have a habit of getting one over on us, and we'll probably drop points along the way in games that we should win.

It's going to be close, I can see it going down to the last day.
